Susan Lucci Posts Throwback Pic From First Day On Set

From 1970 to 2011 Susan Victoria Lucci played Erica Kane on the much-loved soap opera 'All My Children.'

It's been fifty years since the actress was first cast in the role, so she has now shared a pic on social media from her first day on set of the ABC drama for fans everywhere. 

Lucci played the role of Erica Kane on “All My Children” from January 1970 until her very final appearance in 2011. Susan's first day on the ABC set of this daytime soap opera was precisely January 10, which means that this year marks 50 years since she wowed us with that first performance.

The legendary star certainly remembered that day, and she recently regaled her Instagram followers with a photograph, more of which can be seen here at ABC News

Even though Lucci has worked as an actress on other television series and films, “All My Children” is her magnus opus because few have come close to portraying such a delightful degree of villainy as she did with Erica Kane. After receiving 19 Emmy nominations, she finally bagged the coveted award in 1999.
