Squirrel Finds Pumpkin And Carves It Out In Order To Prepare For Halloween

It’s Autumn! The leaves are turning colors and there’s a chill in the air. That only means one thing — Halloween is just around the corner. Everyone is caught up in the spooky spirit of it all, especially this little squirrel.
The adorable little guy comes across an uncarved pumpkin in someone’s backyard and it’s almost as though he instantly hatches a plan. But surely, squirrels don’t know anything about Halloween, do they? Keep watching the video and you might just change your mind.

He considers the pumpkin and then sets to work right away, gnawing and gnawing. Suddenly, that pumpkin almost seems to have an eye. Hmm, well that could be a coincidence. Surely the squirrel doesn’t know what a jack-o’-lantern looks like.
But then, the squirrel stops gnawing and switches positions and starts on what looks like the other eye! Is this squirrel actually carving two eyes on this pumpkin? It is true that when most people carve a jack-o’-lantern, they start with the eyes. It turns out that squirrels must have the same technique!
Still, there might be squirrel-type skeptics. Maybe this squirrel just loves the taste of pumpkin and is having himself an autumn feast for the ages. Fair enough. Until he starts on what just has to be the nose! He is carving the nose on this jack-o’-lantern! It’s happening before our very eyes!
The squirrel seems overwhelmed with his own handiwork and decides to takes a quick break to chase another squirrel. Maybe he just wants to play or he could be trying to make sure that the other squirrel doesn’t get in on his pumpkin carving Halloween action.
It’s not long until our squirrel returns to his Halloween project and what does he do? He starts working on his jack-o’-lantern’s mouth! Ladies and gentleman, this squirrel has carved his own jack-o’-lantern that has two eyes, a nose, and a mouth!
Someone even comes along, puts a candle inside of it, and voila! The perfect Halloween decoration! Is it my imagination or does the jack-o’-lantern's face kind of look like a squirrel’s face? Hmm. Interesting!
