Soldier's Dog Gives Rare And Precise Performance Of Lifetime

Dogs are amazing creatures and curious too. They have become incredibly important parts of our lives, from being loyal to us, and learning commands, to even living with us. One dog owner Lucy Imbergerova from Italy and her German Shephard, Deril, proved that there is nearly nothing a dog cannot do at the Dog Dance World Championship in 2016.

The Dog Dance World Championship is a competition that many pet owners and pet duos take part in each year. The intense performance of Lucy Imbergerova and her German Shepard Deril earned them the title of second place in 2016 due to their amazing skills and precision.

Dressed as a soldier during the performance, the scene begins when both Lucy and Deril are sleeping, but awoken by a trumpet blast. Deril wakes up first and attempts to wake up Lucy by pretending to urinate on her. The music quickly shifts to patriotic tunes and the duo salute before continuing to the main feature of the performance.

Like soldiers going into battle, the two march across the stage in a form of walking known as calisthenics. Deril perfectly matches each of Lucy's steps and even surprises the audience by performing his rendition of squats.

After squats, the duo movies into other exercises, including push-ups and sit-ups, and through all of them, Deril obediently holds on to Lucy's legs. When it is time for them to part, Deril makes sure to pay close attention to his owner, and this alone tells us just how well he has been trained. Normal dogs could not follow such a complicated routine without being distracted and running off to do something else.

After the exercises, the music takes on a different, more ominous tone. In this scene, Lucy pulls out a small toy grenade from a pouch on her pants and throws it. Deril runs after it, but there is a sound of an explosion and Lucy lies on the stage as if she had died in the explosion.

Deril's response is something you would see in a human, rather than an animal. He immediately runs over and attempts to perform CPR to revive his beloved owner. At this point in the performance, the crowd has gone completely crazy over the duo and is eagerly sitting at the edge of their seats, waiting to see what happens next.

Deril perfectly executes chest compressions and mouth to mouth to the best of his dog abilities. Maybe if he retires from dancing, he might find a career as a paramedic. Soon after this scene, the performance ends with Lucy finally sitting back up.

Deril rushes to bring her a blanket and instead of just dropping it on her lap, he slowly wraps the blanket around her shoulders. They then salute the audience before ending the performance.

At the finale, the crowd bursts into loud applause and the duo is awarded the position of second place. With such an incredible performance and hard work, they definitely deserved the award. The video of their performance has gained over 17 million views worldwide as Deril gains the affection of everyone who views it. With such wisdom and skill, we are sure to see Deril perform greater feats in the near future.
