Singer Carrie Underwood Beautifully Performs Rendition Of Patsy Cline’s 'Crazy'

Country music is full of great songwriting, standout vocalists and overall incredible performers. One of the biggest accomplishments a musician of this genre can achieve is getting the chance to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. With so many big names in country music, it’s only fitting to show them the love and respect they deserve, and Carrie Underwood has done just that. In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry, Underwood paid tribute to some of the biggest legends in the country music industry as she put on an incredible performance highlighting some classic songs.
Underwood first skyrocketed to fame in 2005 following her win on the hit competition series “American Idol.” Following the show, Underwood went on to release a number of successful singles and albums while showcasing her incredible voice and vocal abilities. Some of her most well-known songs include “Before He Cheats,” “All-American Girl” and “Jesus, Take The Wheel.” Receiving plenty of awards and recognition, Underwood has gone on to become one of the most popular female country singers of all time.
Known for her strong and powerful voice, Underwood has never failed to put on an amazing performance for her fans. Her performance in September 2020 at the Grand Ole Opry was no exception, as Underwood performed a medley of different songs highlighting some of country music’s most successful female vocalists, including a stunning rendition of “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. The singer showcased just how breathtaking her vocals were as she sang the song beautifully.

At the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards, Underwood paid homage to all of the great female country singers who came before her and paved the way for future generations. The award show was broadcast from various places across the city of Nashville, including the Ryman Auditorium, Bluebird Cafe and the Grand Ole Opry. Taking the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, Underwood put on a breathtaking performance of some of country music’s best songs from female singers.
“Patsy and Loretta, Martina and Barbara, Reba and Dolly. These strong voices mean so much to me and to all the other female artists who stand on their shoulders,” Underwood said as she listed some of her personal musical heroes. Underwood went on to perform parts of songs from each artist she listed, including “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” by Loretta Lynn, “A Broken Wing” by Martina McBride and “Crazy” by Cline.
Taking center stage, Underwood began her tribute performance by singing “Crazy.” Her vocals were strong yet delicate as she sang the words effortlessly. Underwood showed off just how much control she has over her voice by hitting each and every note flawlessly with her beautiful voice on full display.
After she finished singing “Crazy,” Underwood went on to sing a list of gorgeous songs including “Why’d You Come In Here Lookin’ Like That” by Dolly Parton and “The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia” by Reba McEntire. The stunning singer perfectly emulated the emotions of each song as she let her voice be the focal point of her amazing performance.
