According to The Sun, the music mogul was rushed to the hospital after fainting on the stairs in his home while getting a glass of milk during an insomnia spell. He was diagnosed with low blood pressure and lost the first two days of live filming for “X Factor UK” as a result of the fall.

The Daily Mail suggested that Cowell, who was once a headliner at tabloids, is now “edging towards retiring from showbiz.” The outlet also revealed that Cowell seemed to have handed down the reins of Syco Entertainment to his fiance, Silverman, who has been running it for quite a while already with “very little input from him.”
Reportedly, the 63-year-old manager “rarely sees his famous friends,” except for Amanda Holden. Aside from “Britain’s Got Talent,” Cowell has no other television commitments. In fact, the outlet exclusively revealed that Cowell “wants to spend more time with his nine-year-old son Eric” who he “totally dotes on.”
The change of heart was prompted by another worrying health scare Cowell had in 2020 – he fell off an e-bike and broke his back. He eventually underwent six hours of surgery which he survived.
“It’s like Simon has totally changed his direction of travel. He was once so keen to be in the papers that he could barely go for a walk without it being on the front of the tabloids. Now he has slunk off into obscurity – he won’t even tell anyone where he lives,” the insider revealed.
The source also noted that before, Cowell “wanted to be talked about and written about,” but now he suddenly “doesn’t want to be in the limelight anymore.”
“The harem of women has gone, as has Louis Walsh. Now it’s just Amanda. He will sometimes see others, such as Alan Carr and Alesha Dixon, through her. Nobody can work out what has happened here – he went from being so in need of fame to hating it,” the source furthered.
Over his Instagram, Cowell rarely posts photos of himself or any personal happenings in his life. His feed was either sponsored content or “Got Talent” clips.
