Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s Beauty Evolution Draws Comparisons To Her Parents’ Best Features

Oct 02, 2023

Behind Nico Parker, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is the second most searched celebrity kid, and for a good reason. The 17-year-old is the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Beyond that, Shiloh has been making waves online for her impressive dancing skills, which she often showcases on YouTube in videos from the Millennium Dance Complex.

The teenager is the third child of Brad and Angelina and their first biological child. Before her birth, Angelina adopted a son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, from Cambodia, and a daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, from Ethiopia. The "Maleficent" actress disclosed that she resolved not to treat any of her children differently. Despite feeling more compassion toward her adopted kids for being survivors, the mother of six knew she couldn't ignore anyone.

Angelina also revealed that she initially didn't want to have a biological child but changed her mind when she saw how much Brad loved her children. Angelina and Brad welcomed Shiloh in May 2006, and she immediately became a celebrity. Her first pictures sold for $7.6 million in the US and the UK combined.

Shiloh remained the outlier in her family alongside her dad, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, until Angelina and Brad welcomed their twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox León Jolie-Pitt.

"She looks like Brad. It's funny because she's almost going to be the outcast in the family because she's blonde and blue-eyed," Angelina told Look Magazine per Daily Mail in 2010.

Shiloh has continued to capture the attention of millions of fans worldwide. However, fans were concerned about her when a picture and a video uploaded by Hollywood Fix showed her on an outing with Angelina in New York. Surprisingly, the teenager who once had lustrous blonde hair had cut it all off. Continue reading to find out fans' reactions.

Brad has regularly appeared on “Sexiest Man Alive” lists since the '90s, while Angelina has also been named the most beautiful woman in the world — so it's no surprise that their offspring should be any different.

One of the wonderful things about having children is seeing how two people combine to create a third human being. Without a doubt, when one or both parents are genetically blessed in the looks department, that usually makes its way to their children. And that was no exception for movie stars Brad and Angelina. Parents to six children, three of whom are adopted and three who are biological, the famous pair are no longer together, but they continue to co-parent their kids. Even though the phenomenon that was Brangelina is over, the couple still parent with each other respectfully, and their six children seem to be growing up with love and support.

The 1990s catapulted Brad to stardom, as he appeared in movies such as "Interview With the Vampire," "Legends of the Fall," "Seven," and "Fight Club." It was around then that he also began dating equally beautiful actresses, the most famous of whom were Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston, the latter of whom he went on to marry. In a very public situation, his marriage to Aniston ended as rumors abounded that he and Angelina got together after working on the film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." The rumors turned out to be true, and Brangelina, as they were dubbed by the press, became the most high-profile couple in Hollywood, but their pairing wasn't without scandal. Because Brad was married to Aniston at the time that he met Angelina, rumors of infidelity abounded. Brad and Aniston divorced in October 2005.

Despite the drama, Angelina and Brad ended up building a family together. Contrary to Brad's regular upbringing, Angelina has Hollywood in her blood. The daughter of renowned actor Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, Angelina was born in Los Angeles on June 4, 1975, and grew up on film sets.

She experienced immense success early on with movies such as "Gia," "The Bone Collector," and "Girl, Interrupted," later transitioning to more mainstream films, including "Gone in 60 Seconds" and the "Tomb Raider" franchise. Her innate acting talent, combined with her ethereal beauty, skyrocketed her to the top of Hollywood while she was still relatively young. But outside of her career, Angelina began to show a new side of herself as a humanitarian.  It was around this time that she adopted her first child, a boy from Cambodia named Maddox. Only a couple of years later, she took on the lead actress role in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," which would introduce her to Brad.

While the public could never know what truly occurred between Aniston, Brad and Angelina, the fallout was a huge scandal in Hollywood. Angelina was accused of breaking up Brad and Aniston’s marriage, and while the situation wasn't discussed by any of them, Angelina did make a few comments later on. She admitted she fell in love with Brad during filming but that they weren't intimate, later saying in an interview

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife."

Nevertheless, they became an item and just as suddenly as they got together, their family grew.

Angelina adopted a second child around this time, a girl from Ethiopia named Zahara, and it later turned out that Brad was also involved in the decision. Soon after, he legally adopted both Maddox and Zahara as his own children. Following this, Angelina fell pregnant with the couple's first biological child named Shiloh. Assigned female at birth, at an early age, Shiloh preferred to go by the name John and took to wearing masculine clothes such as suits and ties. Angelina and Brad took it in their stride. The couple then adopted another son in 2007, a boy from Vietnam named Pax. In a matter of two years, Angelina had added three additional children to her brood, taking the unconventional family to seven. A family of seven is by no means small, but the couple wasn't done yet.

At the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, the couple confirmed that Angelina was pregnant once more, this time with twins. Just a few months later, on July 12, she gave birth to Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, who were born one minute apart, with Knox the elder of the two. Knowing how much media interest there would be around the twins' birth, the couple sold the rights to the first images of them to People and Hello! for $14 million, making history as the most expensive celebrity photos ever taken. They donated the money to their nonprofit, the Maddox-Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

Accompanying the feature in Hello! was an interview with the couple about family life. They talked about their large brood of six, with Brad telling the magazine:

"Always said if I were to do it, I'd do it big."

Meanwhile, Angelina said, "Wanting a big family is one of the things that brought us together."

Shiloh grew up with a fun personality. Her mom told Vanity Fair in 2010:

"Shiloh's hysterically funny, one of the goofiest, most playful people you'll ever meet."

Angelina shared that these were signs of a performer, as she also had the same personality as a child. The dancer also dressed up like a boy when she was much younger. She even took the name John, and her parents played along, believing it to be a phase. The little girl often graced red carpets in her black tuxedos and short hair. Sometimes, she cut her hair very short, too.

"Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style …" Angelina said during the Vanity Fair interview. "She likes tracksuits, she likes (regular) suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."

However, the blonde beauty shocked many in 2015 when she stepped out looking ever so feminine in dresses to attend a few red carpet events.

Meanwhile, Angelina described her children to People as "pretty great people," and added that "because there's so many of them, I think they've had a very significant effect on each other. It's not like I'm the head of anything. I'm very honest with my kids. And I'm very human with my kids."

Being a mom has been the most important role in the actress’s life. "I have six very individual human beings in my home. I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn't you be?" Angelina said. "We're supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can't figure out who they are if you don't enthusiastically develop with them."

Shiloh is close not only to her siblings but to her parents as well. A source told Entertainment Tonight the oldest of Angelina and Brad’s biological children “is close to both of her parents.”

The insider added Brad was particularly proud of Shiloh and “who she has become.”

“He loves that she always stays true to herself and is so good to her brothers and sisters,” the source said.

In 2016, Brad and Angelina announced their separation and officially separated in 2019, pending a divorce that has yet to be finalized. Despite this, the pair have remained committed to raising their children to the best of their abilities. The same ET source said Brad felt his “kids are the most important thing to him. He tells his friends he learns so much about life from his own children. He and Angie have been getting along so much better since the custody rules have been worked out. They have come so far.”

Shiloh shares not just her father's looks but his interests too. An insider told Life and Style magazine that while Brad doesn’t share as much time with his children as he used to, he does make time to see them in a “private setting.” The insider said he “prefers it that way and is particularly close to Shiloh.” The father-daughter pair were also said to “truly have an unbreakable bond” as they shared “the same passions.”

"The pair have a loving, fun, and authentic relationship and are cut from the same cloth," the insider said and added, "Brad never puts pressure on Shiloh and encourages her to pursue her dreams. She feels comfortable talking to her dad about anything."

While interest in Shiloh has remained, not many know there has been a major change in one of her physical features. On June 30, 2023, a video and a picture uploaded by The Hollywood Fix showed Shiloh and her mom on an outing in New York. Fans were surprised to see the teen sporting a super short buzz cut.

Many fans were concerned about why her hair was shorter, while some posited that her parents influenced her.

"Why would she do that? She such a beautiful girl with gorgeous hair," someone asked

Meanwhile, some thought it enhanced her features. "She looks exactly like her dad with that haircut," someone wrote

Shiloh was again spotted out and about sporting her buzz cut, but this time, dyed a pretty pink. Again, fans and critics had a lot to say about the 17-year-old’s unconventional style. According to Daily Mail, Shiloh was catching up with a friend in Erewhon in Studio City, where they were seen seated outside an eatery tucking into drinks and snacks. They later hugged and exchanged goodbyes in the parking lot. Shiloh donned a moon print T-shirt and jean shorts, and had a backpack slung over her shoulder.

Fans couldn’t help but remark on the striking resemblance between Shiloh and her famous parents. “Identical to her father with her mother's smile,” one user said, while another wrote, “Angelina’s twin.”

Others thought she could “easily pass as a boy,” owing to her uncanny similarities to her dad. “Mini Brad,” another user wrote, as another exclaimed, “Wow. Looks just like Dad.”

Many also left more critical comments, with one user remarking, “She’s so pretty! I wonder why she cut her hair 🤔” Another said, “She looks like a dude. I feel for the parents. At least she is wearing makeup!”
