While walking through the halls one day, he didn't know that his service would be needed in a way that would turn the life around for one teen. Sarah Bazzini, an 18-year-old at the school, was in one of the hallways. She was acting in a strange manner, so Officer Caron stopped to find out what was wrong. Sarah was acting like she was trying to get away from something as she was moving along the hallway at a fast pace and appeared to stumble every few steps. As Officer Caron got closer to Sarah, he saw that she was in trouble.

Sarah had put a piece of food in her throat at the end of her lunch period so that she could finish eating before heading back to class. Unfortunately, the food got stuck in her throat. Sarah was struggling to breathe, and with each step, she took down the hallway, she knew that she was getting weaker.

Officer Caron quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver to get the food out of her throat. She was thankful for his heroic actions that day. Officer Caron saved Sarah's life. Since that day both of them share a special bond and Sarah will forever be thankful!
