Scarlett Johansson Bedazzles In Blue Dress In Rare Photo

Scarlett Johansson has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. The gifted actress is often recognized for her versatility and talent in handling any given role. Johansson fell in love with acting at a young age. She would dance and sing for her family as part of her practice. Moreover, when the actress was a kid, she loved Judy Garland and practiced to look like her. 

“I was one of those kids who used to stare in the mirror until I made myself cry,” she told New York Magazine in 2004. “I wanted to be Judy Garland in “Meet Me in St. Louis.”

Johansson also told ABC News in 2014 that she grew up watching “a lot of musicals and films with Judy Garland” in them. “I just escaped into them, and I wanted to be a musical theatre actor. I was singing then, when I was seven or eight so I sang Bali Ha’i from the Broadway musical South Pacific,” she said.

Scarlett’s dreams of becoming an actress were so intense that she was distressed when a talent agent signed one of her brothers and turned her down. 

“I was completely devastated, she said. “I saw my future crumble at the age of 7.” 

However, her zeal for the stage pushed her on, so she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York while her mother took her to auditions.

Johansson is a veteran in Hollywood as she has spent nearly three decades in it and built a large fanbase. The actress made waves on Aug. 18, 2023, when a photo of her wearing a sky-blue dress appeared on Instagram. Johansson is notorious for keeping her private life away from the spotlight. She explained her desire to remain a private person despite being in the limelight thus: 

“My favorite actors are actors who are enigmatic and mysterious and never make the obvious choice in terms of the projects they do or who they work with or their craft.” 

Johansson added, “I think that the less I know about an actor, the more chance I have of allowing their own persona to kind of slip away so I can get completely lost in the character they’re playing. The more that people think they know about your personal life, the more difficult it becomes to preserve that,” she said.

Johansson kept to this rule so much that not many knew of her first marriage to actor Ryan Reynolds. The pair were married for three years but were captured together in photos a few times.

The “Black Widow” star, who is now married to Saturday Night Live (SNL) actor and writer Colin Jost, finally shared a bit about her marriage to Reynolds and Jost on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Podcast in 2023. She said that with Jost, she “was finally able to step back and actually respect myself enough to know what those (fundamental) things were and be okay with it, you know? That was a life lesson.”

“I didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else,” Johansson confessed. “I never realized, ‘Oh, it’s really important for me, I need to be with a compassionate person. That’s a fundamental characteristic that has to be there.’”

“And I think that understanding what those fundamental things are that you need in a partner is a must, I think — for longevity, anyway,” she added. “I think identifying those things was a game-changer for me.”

Johansson may be about keeping her personal life private, but her work is all out for all to see. The actress created a buzz on social media when photos of her running a campaign for a brand surfaced online. 

The photos were posted by David Yurman Jewelry on their Instagram page on Aug. 18, 2023, and were captioned:

“Double down on glamour. #ScarlettJohansson relaxes poolside in layers of Lexington at the wrist and neck, with a diamond Chevron pinky ring for a sparkling finishing touch.”

Johansson wore a light blue dress in the photos and paired them with sparkling gold jewelry matched by her blonde hair. The first slide showed her sitting by the pool, complementing her blue dress. Her neckpiece was also prominent in the picture. The second slide focused on her bracelet and a diamond-studded ring. 

Meanwhile, Johansson is not on Instagram and may be unable to view the adoring comments fans left for her. The 38-year-old previously confessed that she cannot be on social media because she has a fragile heart. 

“I honestly am too fragile of a person to have social media. My ego is too fragile,” she said on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast. I can’t deal with it. My brain is too fragile, I’m like a delicate flower. I have enough anxiety.”

The “Asteroid City” actress also recalled when she experimented with Instagram for three days and realized she was invested in someone else’s life, so she deleted it.

However, Johansson admitted that she uses social media for her skincare business, although she acknowledged that she has to resist getting absorbed in it. 

“That’s how I know I can’t have it,” she explained.
