Sad Scene As Helpless Dogs Get Dragged Into A Shelter By Their Owner But What Follows Next Will Warm Your Heart

Pictures can paint a thousand words, and in this case, it's a sad day for two beautiful dogs forced into the Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. A woman named Anne Flores watched in disbelief as the canines were literally dragged on the cement by two women. The intelligent animals knew that a worse possible fate could await them there, so they tried their best not to budge an inch.

Flores got even more frustrated when she noted that the female owners didn't appear to care how the poor animals felt. The dogs appeared to be begging their masters not to leave them at the shelter. The women began giggling, and each picked up one of the dogs because that was the only way to force them into the shelter. Flores was disgusted that they carelessly tossed them away like garbage.

Flores snapped photos of the inhumane treatment to show to the Harris County facility. She learned that the black and white pooch was called Truman, and Mandi was known as the white one. Both dogs were slated for euthanasia soon because the shelter had no room for them. Then, Cypress Lucky Dog Rescue kindly took them in.

Foster homes were found for both dogs, and Kellie Donoghue, the director of Grace Mercy Love German Shepherd Rescue, was shocked when she was there to pick up Truman. He was scared for his life and wouldn't budge from the shelter floor. His tail was wagging, but he couldn't move well. Donoghue had workers help her get Truman into the vehicle. She saw him settle down 25 minutes into the trip.

Truman's temperament was tested when they arrived at the rescue center, and he passed with flying colors. He began to trust again; it was an amazing transformation. Also, Mandi is now being fostered by Jackie Duncan, but the dog needs extra help because of heartworm and other health matters. All in all, the dogs will survive and make wonderful pets for their new owners.

What do you think of this behavior of these dogs' owners?
