Riley Keough, Elvis Presley's Granddaughter, Is A Self-Made Woman — Her Success Story
Mar 03, 2022
A family resemblance is a beautiful thing to see, especially when we see traces of people we love in their children and grandchildren. When it comes to celebrities, we are often blown away by some offspring that have inherited their parents' beauty and charisma. Riley Keough, the gorgeous granddaughter of the man we knew as the King of Rock 'n' Roll, looks just like her grandfather and grandmother. The generations that are connected to Elvis Presley — from his late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, to his granddaughter, Riley Keough — all of them have a resemblance to Elvis and his wife Priscilla Presley.
Although Elvis is no longer with us, his musical legacy has continued to live on. With hits such as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” it’s easy to see how the legendary star has continued to inspire other musicians and singers to this day. On top of that, his stage presence was other-worldly, and Elvis was famous for his energetic movements and provocative performance style. This, blended with his unique vocal tone, made Elvis an all-around rock and roll star.
On top of his career, Elvis was also survived by his beautiful family, however, tragically, Lisa Marie passed away at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023. Many people in the Presley family have gone on to make a name for themselves while still honoring the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. One of these family members includes his granddaughter Keough. She has been marking her mark on the entertainment industry as an actress and model for several years now and is continuing to show just how talented everyone in the Presley line is.
Keough has been making a splash online and in the media over the last few years for various reasons. She’s a beautiful woman who gets more stunning as days go by. She began modeling at the age of 15 and has been in several fashion shows, walking for Dolce & Gabbana and Chirstian Dior. She was also on the cover of Vogue. Now, at 34 years old, it’s clear that Keough wonderfully resembles her grandmother, Priscilla.
Keough is currently married to Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen. The two met in 2014 on the set of “Mad Max: Fury Road,” which starred Keough and listed Smith-Peterson as a stunt performer. They tied the knot the following year.
"Marriage is just something I wanted to experience in my lifetime, to be honest with you,” she told The Guardian. “But the older I get, the less urgent it feels to have a kid. Not to be too grim, but the world is in a weird place, so I’m kind of torn on whether to bring a child in, or to adopt. Like morally."
Growing up, the actress lived a turbulent lifestyle herself. Her parents, Lisa Marie and Danny divorced in 1994, just weeks before Keough’s 5th birthday. Afterward, Lisa Marie went on to marry another musical king – Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. However, their relationship also ended almost as soon as it started. Lisa Marie went on to marry two more times to actor Nicholas Cage and to guitarist Michael Lockwood. As a child of divorced parents, Keough experienced many changes throughout her life.

Keough explained:
“I grew up very privileged with my mother. But my dad didn’t live like that. And I think experiencing both sides has been helpful. My father had mattresses on the floor of his apartments. He lived in cabins and trailer parks. He just didn’t have much money.”
Keough was also fascinated by the fact that she had skills as an actress, as she was never particularly gifted in music. Still, that didn’t mean a successful career came easily. Back in 2020, Keough revealed that she auditioned for roles in “The Spectacular Now,” “High Life” and “Spring Breakers,” but didn’t land any of them, according to Oh No They Didn’t. She also attended a table read for “Uncut Gems,” but never went through to the auditions round.
However, these low points in Keough’s career didn’t deter her from continuing to pursue her passion. According to Oh No They Didn’t, the actress landed great roles in “American Honey” and “Zola,” where she was able to show off her great range and impressive talents.
Back in 2017, she talked about her busy schedule with The Guardian. “I’m a workaholic,” Keough said. “Very high strung.” Her breakthrough performance came from “The Runaways” in 2010, followed by her stellar performance in “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “The Girlfriend Experience.”
Keough also talked about striving to live a simple life where she shares a home and life with her husband, walks her dog and works on upcoming movie projects without wanting too much attention – an expectation that she has recognized as “weird.” She is still staying busy with her career, as she is currently filming the TV series “Daisy Jones & The Six.”
