Photographer Snaps Woman Giving Birth In A Hospital Hallway
Feb 12, 2018
As many parents know, giving birth can drag on for hours on end. On rare occasions, however, it can also happen in a split second. Being already a mother of 5, Jes Hogan can be considered a "veteran" of the birthing process. However, the birth of her first son overshadowed all the others because he was in such a hurry to get out!
The heavily pregnant Mom from Manchester, Kansas felt the start of labor in the early hours of the morning. Luckily, her husband decided not to hang about and sure enough, within a few minutes of being on the maternity ward, her water broke.

With her husband Travis holding her for support, Jes managed to get through the doors of the maternity ward. As the photographer shouted for help, Jes could already feel her son's head between her legs.
"I put my hands in my pants and could feel his tiny head in my hands. I looked to my husband and cried for him to hold our son!"
That was when the nurses arrived and took her in their arms. They helped lay her on the ground as the urge to push began in earnest. Without the help of nurse Tammy, we're pretty sure Jes would have been beside herself with fear. Luckily though, Tammy stepped in to do exactly what she was trained for, to assist in the miracle of birth.
Little Maxwell Alexander was born in the hospital hallway just 25 minutes after Jes' waters broke. As you can see in these incredible photographs, Jes and Travis can barely grasp what just took place. All they know is that their little son is finally in the world!
"Of all the times I've given birth, this was by far the craziest and most perfect" the mother of six revealed. "It wasn't at all how we'd planned it but it still resulted in a healthy baby thanks to the wonderful support of the people around us. It was incredible and I will forever cherish these memories."
The Hogans are now an impressive family of 8. Baby Maxwell is, of course, the proverbial rooster in the henhouse but it's safe to say he is adored by all of his older sisters. No wonder he was in such a hurry to come into the world!
