Pamela Anderson Pulls Off Hairstyle ‘Few Can Master’ In Her 50s While Others Say They’re ‘Not A Fan’

Born on July 1, 1967, Pamela Anderson grew up in the small town of Ladysmith in British Columbia, Canada, and she is nothing short of a beauty icon. 

Known for her signature voluminous blonde locks, pouty lips and razor-thin eyebrows, the star pared down all that for a bare-faced photoshoot and proved she’s just as stunning – if not more so – when she goes makeup-free. 

A significant moment in her early life was when she was first discovered at a football game in Vancouver. She then posed for the cover of the October 1989 issue of Playboy magazine. Her appearances in Playboy helped launch her career and led to her becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry.

In 1992, Anderson landed her breakout role as C.J. Parker on “Baywatch.” The show was a huge success, and her portrayal of the lifeguard became iconic in the 1990s. 

Anderson’s success on “Baywatch” led to several film and television roles, including the lead role in the television series “V.I.P.” and appearances in movies such as “Barb Wire” and “Scary Movie 3.”

Despite her successes, Anderson shared in an interview with the Associated Press in early December 2024 that she thought her career as an actress was over, saying: “I didn’t think I’d be doing any more in this industry.”

Things changed, however, when she was approached for the lead role in the Gia Coppola-directed film “The Last Showgirl.” 

She said upon reading the script, it felt like her calling.

“But then this came up, and I read it, and it just... I could hear her voice in my head. I could see it already, and I just thought this is life or death. I have to do this film. This is that feeling that people get when they respond to material, and they have to do it.”

On Dec. 8, 2024, Anderson attended a special screening of “The Last Showgirl” in West Hollywood and sparked online discussions surrounding her new hairstyle featuring bangs!

Anderson embraced a vintage-inspired look in a chic brown Bottega Veneta dress from the Fall 2024 collection featuring dramatic cape sleeves. 

Paired with dark brown Canalazzo pumps, she kept her makeup minimal and debuted blunt bangs, radiating effortless elegance and confidence. 

And as always, netizens had a lot to say about her look. Some users drew a resemblance between her and another iconic actress, saying:

“She’s looking like Mia Farrow.”

Others, however, felt it made her look older.

“Wow I didn’t even recognize her,” one user said, as another expressed their shock: “Yikes!!!!!!! 😳” 

While opinions were divided, there were some constructive comments, with one user remarking:

“Unrecognizable. But that’s a good thing. She came to terms with her age and isn’t tryna gross us out w cringy antics like Madonna and Vera W (sic).” 

Others complimented her despite not liking the hairstyle:

“Not a fan of the bangs but still beautiful.”

On the other hand, many of her loyal fans complimented it, commenting: “The bangs are a serve 🔥.”  

Another user praised her for pulling it off:

“She looks great with bangs actually! I can’t say that about many people 😂a style few can master.”

Anderson’s appearance at the 2024 Gotham Awards on Dec. 2, 2024, also sparked mixed reactions from netizens. The actress wowed in a strapless, butter-yellow gown paired with diamond stud earrings and loose blonde hair.

While some admired her natural aesthetic, others criticized her hair and eyebrows. Many felt her hair appeared unhealthy, and some found her overall look unpolished. A few suggested that light makeup or more defined eyebrows could have enhanced her appearance.

When it comes to makeup, Anderson opened up about her views on the red carpet in 2024:

“I mean – I wear – I love to wear makeup too sometimes. It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.”

Anderson believes that true beauty comes from within, as she said: “Being brave and living your dreams. It’s never too late.”

The occasion also marked an opportunity for the star to reflect on her Gotham Awards nomination for her performance in “The Last Showgirl.” 

“I think I’m a wild card. Always have been,” the actress expressed, adding: “I’ve been an actress for a long time but this is the first time I’ve been able to sink my teeth into something and I’m really proud of this film.”

Over the years, Anderson has repeatedly proven that her beauty is timeless. At 57, Anderson has increasingly embraced a bare-faced look in her photoshoots and various appearances, inspiring many of her fans!

Back in September 2023, Anderson went completely bare-faced at Paris Fashion Week, dazzling onlookers and fans with her glamorous looks – sans makeup – and shared photos on her Instagram with the caption:
