P!nk’s Husband Carey Hart Admits He Has ‘Very Thick Skin’ & Isn’t Bothered By Her Writing Songs About Their Arguments

May 15, 2023

Alecia Beth Moore, who is known professionally as P!nk, is no stranger to the spotlight. At 43 years old, she’s become a household name and has been a presence in the entertainment industry since 1995.

Known for her distinctive, raspy voice and tough, alternative exterior, P!nk has won three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award and seven MTV Video Music Awards, including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and because of this, she is one of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time.

Apart from her music, P!nk is known for being authentic and true to herself. Her lyrics often speak about being “real.” Not only does this theme appear in her music, but it seems to carry over into her personal life as well. She’s often very candid about her struggles and experiences, and she often expresses her desire to be seen as a real person, not just a celebrity.

P!nk is married to renowned motocross rider Carey Hart. They have two children, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. Although they have been married for a long time, the two have experienced rough patches in their relationship, which they have weathered eventually.

In an interview on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Hart reacted to a video of his wife opening up to the host about using an argument they had before as the premise of a song she included in her new album, “Trustfall.” Keep on reading to find out what Hart thought about it and what song it was.

During an episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” P!nk discussed melodies and lyrics to Kelly Clarkson extensively, even revealing that a song from her new album was inspired by a fight that she and Hart had before.

Asked what she thought of her husband hearing the songs she had written about him on the album, P!nk had this to say:

“Well, you have to take in like Carey’s amount of feelings he can handle and how much he can handle and how much he is actually thinking about the words that I’m saying or listening at all,” she admitted. “So I think it’s fine.”

P!nk also revealed that one song on the album was inspired by a “hard day” they had.

“I played it for him because that’s fair. He should know what’s said about him in the world. And he just started giggling and he is like ‘Well, you’re welcome.’”

When given the chance by Clarkson to react, Carey clarified that it was “very accurate.”

“You know, we’ve been together 21 years, so I have very thick skin,” he claimed. “Very little affects me, you know and I don’t know what exact day she’s talking about specifically, but it’s probably just the temperature."

Turns out that P!nk was talking about the song “Hate Me.” She explained to USA Today what the song meant.

“'Hate Me' is sort of the female experience to me. This will be a polarizing statement, but men tend to villainize women and it’s usually the women who take care of them and take most of their (cr*p),” she elaborated. “Can you tell I feel things really deeply? Can you imagine being my husband?”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight before, Hart credited their children as having helped them grow up as a couple.
