P!nk Divulges The Lessons She Learned From Marriage Counseling With Husband Carey Hart

Jun 26, 2023

Alecia Beth Moore, who is known professionally as P!nk, is no stranger to the spotlight. At 43 years old, she’s become a household name and has been a presence in the entertainment industry since 1995.

Known for her distinctive, raspy voice and tough, alternative exterior, P!nk has won three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award and seven MTV Video Music Awards, including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and because of this, she is one of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time.

Apart from her music, P!nk is known for being authentic and true to herself. Her lyrics often speak about being “real.” Not only does this theme appear in her music, but it seems to carry over into her personal life as well. She’s often very candid about her struggles and experiences, and she often expresses her desire to be seen as a real person, not just a celebrity.

P!nk is married to renowned motocross rider Carey Hart. They have two children, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. Although they have been married for a long time, the two have experienced rough patches in their relationship, which they have weathered eventually. During the opening show of her Summer Carnival Tour at the University of Bolton Stadium in the United Kingdom on June 8, 2023, P!nk shared with the crowd that she and Hart had been undergoing marriage counseling.

This was actually not the first time that P!nk shared a personal part of her life with her fans. On many occasions, she has been candid about it. Keep on reading to learn more about her revelation, along with her previous confessions about her marriage.

On June 2020, P!nk posted a video on Instagram revealing that she and Hart have a therapist, Vanessa, who has helped them multiple times since they split up and reconciled before eventually marrying in 2006.

"It's the only reason that we're still together because you know, I think partners after a long time, we just speak. I can't say it's a man and woman thing, I think it's a partner thing, a spouse thing – that you just speak two different languages,” she admitted on Instagram.

The rocker credits Vanessa for their marriage, which is now mightier than ever. According to P!nk, Vanessa has been translating what they want to say to each other for the last 18 years.

"I mean we would not be together. We just wouldn't because we are not taught as kids how to have relationships, how to get along with people,” she added.

On the second opening night of the Summer Carnival Tour, P!nk, as usual, became candid in her statements as she took to the stage. Speaking about her long-time relationship as quoted by The Daily Mail, P!nk had this to say: “This is what they teach in marriage counselling: Remorse, regret, resolution.” As for doing things that she learned at therapy, P!nk had some procrastination to do, as she said she’ll start on those things “tomorrow.”

In an interview with Kelly Clarkson, the former motocross racer reflected on the couple's marriage as his wife wrote a song about one of the fights that they had earlier.

“You know, we’ve been together 21 years, so I have very thick skin. Very little affects me, you know and I don’t know what exact day she’s talking about specifically, but it’s probably just the temperature,” Hart said of the song's inspiration.
