P!nk Divides Fans After Posting Very Revealing “Banana-Bikini” Photo Of Herself

P!nk, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, began her music career in a girl band. When that didn’t work out, she went solo in 1999 at the age of 20 and has never looked back. According to Billboard, she has 15 top 10 hits and is one of the bestselling US music artists. Known for her distinctive, raspy voice and tough, alternative exterior, P!nk has won three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award, and seven MTV Video Music Awards, including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Apart from her music, P!nk is known for being authentic and true to herself. Her lyrics often speak about being real. Not only does this theme appear in her music, but it seems to carry over into her personal life as well. She’s often very candid about her struggles and experiences, and she often expresses her desire to be seen as a real person, not just a celebrity. 

Like most female celebrities in Hollywood, P!nk is no stranger to criticisms on how confident she wanted to feel for herself or what she wanted to do about her body. At one point, she was even discouraged from having children when her music career was at an all-time high. It was also pointed out several times that she looked masculine in her fashion and strong facade and expression, a stark contrast to her screen name. 

In an Instagram photo that the vocalist shared on May 31, 2023, P!nk divided her 9 million followers online as she flaunted her beautiful physique and the rather unconventional bikini that she wore. P!nk has been a pivotal figure in the music industry since she was just a teenager. When she was just 16 years old, P!nk formed an R&B group called Choice with Sharon Flanagan and Chrissy Conway. Their first song was eventually sent over to music record producer and executive L.A. Reid, and he signed them to a record deal. However, the girl group was not meant to last, and ultimately, P!nk made the choice to go solo near the end of the 1990s.

Afterward, P!nk went on to sign a solo recording contract and created her first solo album with top-notch producers like Babyface and Kandi Burruss. It was evident that P!nk was a knockout from the jump, and her career kicked off on a high.

With musical inspirations such as Madonna, Janis Joplin and Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes, it’s not surprising that P!nk’s music is extremely eclectic, fun and meaningful. In fact, Perry was even one of the producers of P!nk’s album “Missundaztood.

After receiving recognition from fans and award shows, P!nk decided to switch up her sound and released “Get the Party Started” from the “Missundaztood” album. She also collaborated with Perry on a song, and also worked with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler on a different track.

And as the years passed, P!nk’s career stayed flourishing as she released more and more hits. Some of her best-known songs include “Stupid Girls,” “Who Knew,” “Try,” “U + Ur Hand,” “So What,” “Just Give Me A Reason” and “What About Us.”

Along the way, the singer also found love, although her relationship had its ups and downs. In 2001, P!nk met Carey Hart, a professional motocross racer. They eventually dated soon after. Years later, they sadly separated, but late on decided to make the relationship work after all. 

In a grand display of affection, P!nk defied gender standards and proposed to Hart in 2005 during a motocross race. They got married in Costa Rica the year after. After a few years, the couple faced yet another setback that separated them. This occurred shortly before P!nk released her hit single “So What,” in 2008, which left fans speculating whether the song was written about her relationship with Hart. 

But after much discussion and making amends, the couple reunited again in 2010. In June 2011, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Willow Sage. In 2016, their second child and only son, Jameson Moon, came into the world. 

Since becoming a full-time mother of two and a well-renowned singer, P!nk has worked tirelessly to incorporate her parenting and her music career together as a mother and as a homemaker. 

In a November 2022 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, P!nk spoke candidly about the “impossible” challenge of being a mother and a pop star on tour and admitted, “I can’t do everything.” She continued, “So you have to decide ‘what is this one thing I'm going to give to myself' and try not to feel guilty about, and for me, it was breakfast, and ... I nailed it.”

After she asked her “sleep trainers” to devise a sleep schedule for her daughter Willow as she accompanied her on tour, P!nk revealed that other “mom popstars” later reached out to her to ask for pointers on how to make motherhood and touring work together well, and she revealed she ended up writing the entire playbook for it. 

P!nk has always been candid about the struggles she has faced during her music career. Whether it was a relationship issue, parenting woe, or the problems she faced as a woman, P!nk has been known for her honesty and authenticity. 

However, the road leading to her success as a mother and a celebrity didn't come easily for her. Speaking to Zane Lowe of Apple Music, the “So What” singer recalled being told not to have children back in her early years. 

“Everyone told me, ‘If you have children right now, your career’s over.’ And I think that’s when my career began, really. I mean, I did a lot of stuff before that, but really, truly, I think it’s when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it,” she confessed.

Despite any criticism that P!nk has faced, the singer has never shied away from boasting about her adorable children. In August 2020, P!nk posted a gorgeous photo of herself and her daughter Willow to her Instagram that highlighted their family resemblance and how close they really are. The picture, which appeared to have been taken on a pool day, showed P!nk and Willow sitting together in their swimsuits, enjoying the afternoon sun. 

In the photo, Willow wore a cute black-and-white one-piece swimsuit, while P!nk rocked a pastel-colored bikini and headscarf, looking ever the retro siren with a swipe of lipstick on as well. The two had big smiles for the photo, exuding warmth and happiness. P!nk captioned the post, "My baby girl 🥰"

Fans were quick to point out the family resemblance in the comments, with one user writing, "She looks so much like you. Happy inside and out." Multiple commenters called them twins, while another wrote, "She looks so much like her momma ! ❤️"

P!nk and Hart often express their love and adoration for their children on their social media pages. Back in June 2020, Hart shared a heartwarming Instagram post for Willow's birthday. The image included two photos of Willow, one from a more recent time and another from a few years prior, and a heartfelt message to her. 

Hart wrote:

"My sweet daughter willow. Where do I start. You have shown me what love of a child is all about. You changed my life from the moment your mama was pregnant. I always wanted to be a father and thank you for choosing me as your papa. You impress me everyday you walk this planet. You are smart, thoughtful, compassionate...One of the biggest joys I have with you is watching you grow into your own independent person each day that passes. You are gonna change the world one day, munchkin. I could not me (sic) more proud and in love with you. Have a great 9th birthday. Thank you mama @pink for cooking a good one."

The couple is clearly very supportive of their children and supports their individuality. In 2019, Willow got a haircut where one side of her head was shaved while the rest was kept longer, and both her parents were avid supporters of her uniqueness, with Hart proudly having said, "Loving my punk rock daughter."

P!nk’s parenting practices might be different from other celebrity parents out there, as the singer has been public about teaching her children, specifically Willow, to become independent. 

In her conversation on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” P!nk confessed to becoming codependent on her family, the reason why she decided to have her children on tour. P!nk asked her daughter in the crowd for consent to talk about the rather personal moment, to which the latter agreed. 

“Willow and I had a really teary conversation about this tour because she has needs now,” she said, referring to Willow’s needs as a growing adolescent.

P!nk continued, “I told her there are things you wanna do, and also, this isn’t just my job, and I worked really hard for this.” 

She also went on to point out that because of her job and livelihood, she has helped other people too. But despite the insurmountable task of having other people depend on her, P!nk clarified that this should not get in the way of Willow’s life. 

"That doesn’t mean that it means more than your childhood or what you mean to me. 'I’ll walk away tomorrow. If that’s what you want, I’ll walk away tomorrow,'" P!nk recalled telling Willow. 

P!nk shared a moving message for her daughter when she won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer recounted how she had a conversation with Willow where the young girl said she was the "ugliest girl I know" and that she looked "like a boy with long hair." 

P!nk went on to inspire her daughter by showing the importance of self-love and acceptance. She also showed how beauty comes in all forms showing Willow androgynous rock stars including David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Annie Lennox. As she explained in her speech, P!nk then told Willow:

"So, baby girl, we don't change. We take the gravel in the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty...and you, my darling girl, are beautiful. I love you."

It’s not surprising to see that throughout the years, P!nk has been lauded for becoming one of the very few celebrities who has been able to balance being a superstar and a full-time mom successfully. But despite this, P!nk remains a target of discriminatory attacks on social media. 

In April 2023, American far-right personality and conspiracy theorist Stew Peters posted a distorted photo of the singer, saying that her hips weren’t “child-bearing” ones. P!nk, the level-headed person she is, took the high road and only replied: “Oh, Stewie. Stewie Stewie Stewie. You’ve got too much free time.” 

Others even threw support to Peters, saying that P!nk looked like a “dude” because of how athletic her body was. However, many defended the singer saying that her body was built that way and she was just physically fit. 

On May 31, 2023, P!nk yet again attracted the attention of her followers and detractors when she posted photos of herself enjoying her nature weekend vacation. 

In the first photo, P!nk was sunbathing in her bikini, but it wasn’t a regular bikini that you would see in the department store – it was actually a transparent one, with a printed bunch of bananas only just covering her breasts. P!nk looked very happy in the photo as she shades herself with her hand from the beaming sunlight. 

The second photo showed P!nk becoming one with nature. The Grammy-winning singer let it all out as she showered in the great outdoors naked at the side of her RV. P!nk posed triumphantly, with her private parts being covered by star scribbles. 

“Lake weekends and a new ridiculous bathing suit. If you haven’t showered outdoors while your husband tries to scare you every five minutes you haven’t lived!!!!!!” she captioned her post along with various hashtags. 

While the mood of the post is actually celebratory, not all comments on Instagram were friendly. 

“You practically naked, wat wld ur kids say 😢” a user asked P!nk. 

Others even compared P!nk to Britney Spears’ unsettling naked photos on Instagram. 

“Imagine if britney spears posted this…” another commented. 

While some felt like P!nk was too confident, a lot of her followers and industry friends got behind her and praised her beautiful body. 

“If you got it flaunt it . Be proud of yourself,” a fan shared. 

“Ahhhh this just made me take a big breath and smile!! Yay I played your songs last night in my breathwork class. Love love you!!” another commented. 

“Love it! Peeled the banana and took a shower. How freeing is that!! You’ve got it..show it off!” someone posted.
