Over 40 And Still Have Muffin Top? Here Are 5 Exercises Just For You
Dec 14, 2018
That muffin top that you have seems like it's been there forever. Instead of letting it get in the way of your daily activities or the clothes that you wear, there are a few moves that you can do to battle the bulge.
The Kind Of Fat
Instead of just one kind of fat, there are two that you need to know about. One is subcutaneous fat that makes up about 90 percent of what's in your body. This is the fat that's found all over your body and resides just under your skin. It's what you usually think of when you picture yourself in a mirror. Unfortunately, it's this kind of fat that lingers in the form of the muffin top.
A fat that's a bit more dangerous is visceral. This is the kind of fat that tends to settle in the abdominal area and surrounds your organs, often making it difficult to properly digest food or even breathe at times. This kind of fat can sometimes lead to cancer and other diseases.

A Healthy Diet
When you want to finally try to get rid of the muffin top, you need to have a clean diet. Drink plenty of water without a lot of sodas and sugary drinks. Your diet should also include more fiber and protein as these essentials provide energy that your body needs to burn calories.
Avoid eating a lot of carbohydrates and sugars as these tend to settle and form the visceral fat that creates the muffin top. You should consume the right amount of calories for your body instead of eating too much, but the calories should come from foods that are healthy.
Get In Those Moves!
The moves that can help to get rid of your muffin top should be performed at least three times a week. Spend about a minute performing each one, completing at least two rounds.
1. Mountain Climber
2. Side Jackknife Crunch
3. Kettlebell Swings
4. Bicycle Crunches
5. Squat Jacks
