Nicole Kidman is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s most sought-after and talented actresses. Not only has she impressed critics with her artistic range — she’s received plaudits for kids films like “Paddington” to adult psycho-dramas like “Eyes Wide Shut” — but the star also has a collection of once-in-a-lifetime accolades. But Kidman’s love for dressing up didn’t just spring up when she became a celebrity; her fashionable mother and grandmother inspired it. 

“I grew up with a grandmother and a mother who loved clothes,” Kidman revealed in an interview with InStyle.

Besides the influence of her fashionable relatives, the “Aquaman” actress revealed that prominent designers also spoke to her in terms of style, including John Galliano, whom she met while he was working in Paris at Dior, and the late fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld, popularly known for his simple yet elegant works for Chanel.

Regardless of her knack for going bold with her outfits, Kidman is much calmer on the beauty front. In a 2007 interview with Marie Claire, she revealed that she preferred her natural beauty.

“To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that,” she shared. 

Years after the interview, Kidman eventually tried Botox, but the results weren’t at all pleasing to her. According to the Daily Mail, she detailed her experience in a 2011 interview with a German magazine.

“I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it any more and I can move my forehead again,” she reportedly revealed.

Kidman has proven that you can rock your favorite fashion pieces at any age. Over one year after being criticized for her outfit, the “Rabbit Hole” star has come out to defend her decision to wear the Miu Miu micro-miniskirt on the cover page of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood 2022 issue.

According to People, Kidman explained her outfit choice in a cover story for Stellar magazine. She revealed that it was her decision to don the bralette and micro-miniskirt. 

“It was fun. That was my choice. And yeah, I own it. I’m accountable. Whatever. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it,” she shared.

The low-rise chino skirt, an ode to the Y2K trend, caused a stir among internet users who opined that it was too short and revealing. 

“Don’t tell me, I don’t really want to know — it will stop me doing what I want to do. There are times when you hear things and you go, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s really hurtful,’” Kidman said per People.

Kidman also came under fire in March 2023 after a beach trip in Sydney, Australia. Photos of the leggy beauty in a dark rash guard prompted some to comment on her figure.

"She looks so thin in these photos," one user wrote, as another said, "Yeah, it's slender figure all right. It's also old, sickly, and frail looking. She needs to eat something. No one likes a skeletton." 

"Too SLIM, could do with a few more healthy meals in her," another user commented.

While some may not approve of Kidman, one person who sincerely does is her husband, Keith Urban, who regularly compliments his wife.

One example of Urban’s public affection for his wife came at the 2016 SAG Awards. Speaking to E! News about her role in “Grace of Monaco,” Kidman said:

“I met a number of people who knew her. I also just studied her. My mom adored her. So my whole life, it was always Grace Kelly. You know, you could fall into the Marilyn Monroe camp or the Grace Kelly camp, and my mom was the Grace Kelly camp.”

She then turned to Urban and asked him which camp he was in, to which he sweetly responded, “The you camp!”

Kidman was showered with compliments again, this time from her fans, when she flaunted her long legs in her alluring Armani Privé gown, which featured a voluminous 3D floral shoulder piece, at the 2023 Oscars.

Fans praised her in a photo that her stylist shared, complimenting her for her grace and alluring stature. 

“…you are embodying Practical Magic Nicole,” one fan said, while another said she was the “Biggest slay of the night.”

“I LOVED her dress!!! She’s ALWAYS one of the Best Dressed ❤️,” another commented.

In another photo posted before the event, Kidman stunned with a provocative outfit, showcasing more of her legs, which got everyone’s attention. 

“I needed to use the eye drops, my eyes were sensitive to its beauty. In my house there are several flowers, but none of them can be compared to its beauty❤️❤️,” one of the fans praised. 

“Wow… You have completely taken my breath away,” another wrote, while another fan said, “What a mega hot picture of you, beautiful Nicole. God bless you, amen.”
