Nicole Kidman Opts For Daring Look While Supporting Husband Keith Urban On Red Carpet

Born on June 20, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Nicole Kidman is an Australian actress and producer. She has starred in a number of films in various film genres, from musicals like “Moulin Rouge!” in 2001 to psychological horror films such as “The Others.” Some of her more recent works include the 2020 musical comedy film “The Prom” and the 2021 miniseries “Nine Perfect Strangers,” which she both starred in and produced.

Kidman has been married to husband Keith Urban since 2006, and the pair share two children. 

The actress credits her husband for helping her gain confidence in herself and coming out of her shell. She said she was rather introverted and shy before marrying the country singer. The couple supports each other’s successful careers and always makes time to speak out about their latest projects. 

One place where Kidman’s confidence has always shown onscreen. The star is not afraid to undergo a bold transformation if it helps her get deeper into her role. Throughout her long career, Kidman has dramatically changed her look a number of times, and the effort has certainly helped her performances as well. 

Kidman’s films vary in genre, and she has portrayed many different people over the years. From playing Virginia Woolf in “The Hours” with a prosthetic nose to donning a wig and heavy makeup to bring punk rocker Queen Boadicea to life in “How to Talk to Girls at Parties,” Kidman’s many looks have been iconic. 

At 55 years old, the star looks better and healthier than she ever has. In May 2023, she again showed off her impeccable looks on the red carpet while supporting her husband at the Academy of Country Music Awards. 

While Kidman has had to play several different roles over the years, the star has also been open about her stance on beauty in the entertainment industry. In 2007, she told Marie Claire she focuses on natural beauty. 

“To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that,” the actress shared. However, she also opened up and revealed she hasn’t always practiced the natural look she wears now. She told a German magazine in 2011 that she has tried things like Botox, according to the Daily Mail.

“I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it any more and I can move my forehead again,” she said. The star actress has said she has found that a lot of beauty procedures simply don’t work.

“I’ve tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference,” she said.  

Kidman said she doesn’t judge others on how they choose to look. “Anybody can do anything to themselves, their bodies. I have no judgment on it. I personally believe in physical health because of the way I was raised. I can’t go in the sun; I’m fair-skinned. That was a nightmare when I was a kid, but it has some benefits now. It’s that simple. I still had one skin cancer on my leg, because I put my legs in the sun.” 

Kidman showed just how well she’s been taking care of herself on May 11, 2023, when she looked stunning as she joined her husband Urban on the red carpet at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas. The pair always make a splash anywhere they go together, and this night was no different. 

Both Urban and Kidman showed up dressed perfectly in unison, with both opting for well-fitted suits. Urban sported a sleek, black three-piece suit. The bootleg pants were paired with a vest, although Urban opted to skip the shirt, leaving his chest tattoos exposed. 

Kidman, too, wore a suit, although her outfit was a touch more daring than her husband’s. She sported a brick red, tweed suit. The slim form-fitting pants were also in a bootleg cut. The blazer, with a green, black and red chevron patterned lining, was held together by a single button at the navel and showed off Kidman’s great shape as, like her husband, she too opted to skip the shirt. Instead, chains of gold necklaces hung down her chest.

Kidman oozed effortless Hollywood glamor, and the photographers couldn’t get enough. At one point, even Urban stepped aside so that his wife could take center stage and show off her gorgeous look for the night. 

Kidman’s stylish outfit was complemented by her low-key but classic make-up, done by Kelsey Deenihan. In an Instagram post, the make-up artist shared which products she used to get Kidman looking “absolutely radiant on the ACM carpet.”

Kidman also posted a short video showing herself dancing backstage during the event, looking luminous and happy. Fans were thrilled to see her enjoying herself. One user wrote, “You look delightful Nicole. Keith is one of the luckiest men alive.”
