Man Kicks His Fiancée’s Pregnant Sister Out Of Their Home After She Deliberately Abandoned His Cat Far Away
Apr 03, 2023
For most people who have cats at home, these furry animals aren’t just pets – they are family. Not only are some cats fed and dressed, but they are also treated like humans – and rightly so. From the best treats to the healthiest food options, cats are treated equally. After all, cats, like most pets, provide a kind of joy like no other – not to mention the comfort they give when their fur parents are feeling down.
That’s why pets not only deserve all the love in the world but also the attention that humans give to their loved ones. If a person demonstrates that kind of relationship with a pet, it’s safe to say that that person is officially a fur parent. Some fur parents are even willing to do whatever it takes for their fur babies especially if someone hurt them. Yes, even if it means going to battle. Take it from a man whose fiancée’s sister started hurting his best friend – a cat named Billy.
In April 2021, a man took to Reddit to ask people if he was in the wrong for kicking out his fiancée’s sister after the latter started hurting his cat, Billy. The man said they let his fiancée’s sister move in with them because her boyfriend kicked her out and she was pregnant at that time. That forced him to work more hours since he pays for everything at home. His fiancée, on the other hand, had been looking for a job, but couldn’t find any. He said he had no problem with any of it at all – until his fiancée’s sister started complaining about Billy. The man said his fiancée’s sister would yell at Billy even if he wasn’t doing anything and was just minding his own business.
The man added that his fiancée's sister would even do things like spray water on Billy or even throw his food away. After witnessing what she did to him, the man talked to her and told her to respect Billy not just as an animal but as part of the household.
“She'd yell at him to get out whenever he's in the kitchen or the living room. She spray him with water whenever she wants him out and threw his food away. Once I saw it with my own eyes I asked her to respect Billy as a resident of my home and stop hurting him,” the man wrote.
In his fiancée’s defense, her sister never owned a cat before that’s why she didn’t know how to treat them. But the man said animals won’t do anything unless something is done to them, adding that he noticed his fiancée’s sister seemed to be hurting Billy on purpose.
“My fiancee said her sister never had a cat so she doesn't know how to treat them which is nonsense since animals just want to be left alone but fiancee's sister seemed to be doing it deliberately,” he remarked.
But he finally had enough when he found out from one of his neighbors that his fiancée’s sister left Billy near an auto repair shop.
“I went to look for him after my fiancée’s sister said he left in the morning. I finally saw my neighbor bringing him to me saying he saw my fiancée’s sister drop him off near an auto repair shop a bit far from here. I was livid. Billy was too scared he couldn't even eat,” the man said.
So, he tried to talk to her and asked her about what happened.

But instead of admitting what she did, the man said she tried to deny it. She tried to ask for help from the man’s fiancée, but she did not back her up. This prompted her to eventually admit what she did, saying she was only worried for her baby.
“I confronted her and she lied about not going anywhere and asked my fiancée to back her up but fiancée refused,” the man said. “She then admitted it but kept excusing what she did by saying she was just worried for her baby since cats aren't good to be around pregnant women,” he added.
He then asked his fiancée’s sister to leave, making his soon-to-be wife call him “unsupportive.” His fiancée also told him he could ask Billy to stay with a friend for a while.
“I blew up at her and told her to leave. My fiancée said that that's her sister and her niece/nephew and I should be more graceful. I argued with her about what Billy felt after what her sister did but my fiancée called me unsupportive and was overreacting and no harm in taking Billy to stay with a friend since her sister clearly is scared of him,” the man said.
Most people sided with the man, with some saying he should leave his fiancée, too, for partaking in her sister’s mistreatment of his cat.
“Ditch your fiancée, too. You're paying for her, her sister, and for both of them to mistreat your cat,” one person said.
“Kick them both out. It's really the only way to ensure Billy's safety (he's adorable!),” another person said.
“Kick her out and frankly I would think twice about marrying anyone that could defend that kind of behavior,” one other commenter said.
