Lynda Carter’s Daughter Jessica Is Taking The Same Path As Her Parents
Jun 26, 2023
Lynda Carter is an icon in the entertainment industry thanks to her role as Wonder Woman in the television series based on the superhero and her long-lasting career that followed. More than that, Lynda is also known for her talents in singing and songwriting, as well as modeling. The multi-talented woman has continued to shine over the many years of her career.
She quickly emerged into the world of performing at a young age and continued to flourish as she grew older. After participating in a few beauty pageants, the successful woman gained nationwide attention, making it even easier for her to make her way into the acting industry. After making waves in both the music and acting scenes, Lynda was viewed as an idol by many.
Despite being in the public eye for such a long time, Lynda managed to not have any major scandals aside from an incident that involved her late husband, Robert A. Altman. This helped her carry on the legacy of “Wonder Woman” well past her days on the 1970s television series.
With a strong sense of compassion and support for female empowerment, Lynda has been a role model for many people all around the world, especially her daughter, Jessica Carter Altman.
As Jessica grew up, she went on and carved out a name for herself before ultimately following both of her parents’ career pathways – in law and entertainment – a thing her mother has been very proud of. Keep on reading to learn more about Lynda’s beautiful daughter Jessica, and how she is following in the footsteps of her parents.
Lynda has had her fair share of ups and downs when it comes to romance. She was married to her former talent agent, Ron Samuels, from 1977 until 1982. The actress later married lawyer and video game executive Robert Altman on Jan. 29, 1984. The couple’s love was so strong that Carter even left the spotlight for a short bit of time to join her husband who worked in Washington, D.C.
Together, they had two children, James Altman, who was born in January 1988, and Jessica, who was born in October 1990. However, Robert passed away on Feb. 3, 2021, due to complications from a medical procedure.
“Robert is the love of my life and he always will be. Our 37 years of marriage were an extraordinary gift. We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime. We protected each other and were each other’s champions always,” Lynda wrote in an emotional Instagram post.
On February 2022, Jessica posted a photo of her and her father when they seemed to have been nature-tripping and enjoying the great outdoors back then. She was smiling very beautifully while some fans complimented her father for having such “empathetic” eyes.
Throughout the years, Lynda has appeared quite a few times in different interviews and public gatherings, but Jessica has found her footing as she carved her own path at her own pace.
After graduating from Holton-Arms School and the University of Michigan, Jessica earned a degree in Psychology and Law. In 2013, she was an intern for Congressman John Dingell. For more than 2 years, she worked as a lawyer in a prestigious law firm but eventually stepped down to pursue a career in entertainment.

In her early years, Jessica clearly mirrored her father’s origins by dipping her toes in law, but as she aged, she eventually followed Lynda’s musical career footsteps. Her website gives everyone a peek at her music career.
Her past music videos were embedded in her website. This includes her songs “Blood Moon,” “Lucky One,” “For You,” “Missing You” and “Cherry Blossoms.”
On June 2023, Jessica announced the release of her new single, “Pieces.” Lynda, who has been expressing her incredible support for her daughter’s career, shared a post on Instagram.
“Since she was born, @jessica.carter.altman has owned a very large piece of my heart. So proud to watch her become such a talented singer-songwriter. You can listen to #pieces on 6/23 🎶 #newmusic,” she joyously wrote.
The similarities between Jessica and Lynda do not stop with their innate talent in music. Just like the Wonder Woman that was her mother, Jessica is also beaming with beauty. In a stunning sunset photo in Italy posted on June 20, 2023, Jessica looked gorgeous while wearing a long black skirt, a white crop top and her long hair messy.
Her Instagram account pretty much chronicled her life as she captured important moments in a few photos. In 2017, according to The New York Times, Jessica met her now-husband Ross Uhrich at a bar after they matched on the dating app Bumble. Since then, they fostered the connection they had and eventually tied the knot in May 2023 at a courthouse, and eventually at Italy's enchanting Villa Balbiano in Ossuccio, on Lake Como, surrounded by loved ones.
