Loving Father Climbs Into Crib To Comfort Baby And It Works --Sort Of

Jun 21, 2018

Did you know there are more uses for baby cams than just checking on your baby? Like making adorable video clips of a parent's devoted care of a cranky baby. For several months, Michela could not sleep through the night and woke up crying every two hours. Here is a video of what happened one night during that period in her young life.

In this baby cam video from 2009, Michela's devoted Canadian father Nunzio Raso goes to check on his crying daughter. He first tries to pat her to calm her down. When that fails, he comes up with a brilliant new plan and climbs into the crib with her.

It works! She quickly settles down and seems to fall asleep.

There's only one problem: He's laying on his back with his knees scrunched up and his head against the crib bars and she is using his chest as a pillow.

He has no hope of getting any rest himself in this position. You can soon see the gears of his mind churning by the expressive looks on his face. His eyes dart about and he starts plotting his escape.

He gently tries to move the girl off his chest. Michela will have none of it. She's no fool. She wakes up enough to sprawl more completely across his chest, trapping him there. He temporarily gives up. The video seems to be edited at a few points, suggesting he laid there with her quite a lot longer than the 3 minute 48 second video lasts.

After a bit, he tries again. He's really wanting out of there. But Michela will have none of it. She sprawls her entire body across his torso, keeping him in place.

Finally, dad turns on his side and tries to coax baby into laying next to him. She stands straight up. The look on dad's face is one of defeat. The video ends shortly thereafter, leaving the viewer to wonder if dad ever got any sleep that night.

Legend says the dad is still stuck in baby prison to this day. How adorable do you think your friends will find this short video? Go ask!
