This story takes place at Argentina’s El Arca Animal Partido de Mar Chiquita. A dog that was wandering the community was taken there. Her name is Pakita, and she has been living a very sad life at the shelter for a couple of years, according to The Dodo. People would often drop by to choose a younger dog, and Pakita realized her fate about being an older canine.
She withdrew more each day.

The center's volunteers like Silvia Ferreyra did their best to lift Pakita's spirits by taking her photo to post on Facebook for future dog adopters.
At the same time, Ariel Naveira was missing his dog Pakita for quite some time, as The Dodo reports. His mother happened to see the social media site's photo and immediately messaged the Arca shelter. Mrs. Naveira says her son would drop by the next day to see if the sad dog was his.
A volunteer held Pakita on a leash outdoors as they went to greet Ariel. The dog shyly hid behind the volunteer at first. Then, Ariel called her to him, and she hesitantly approached and began sniffing him. Within seconds, life changed for Pakita and Ariel Naveira.
The dog jumped about licking her long-lost master; her keen sense of smell did not betray her. Pakita was Ariel's missing dog. The video speaks volumes and shows the love and loyalty of man's best friend.
Pakita whimpers and barks and cannot stop greeting Ariel. He rubs her belly, and her tail keeps wagging. The center's volunteers are delighted by the successful family reunion. This is such a happy story; it's one that everyone on the planet should take the time to witness and appreciate.
