King Charles & Prince William Have Reportedly Discussed Stripping Harry & Meghan Of Their Royal Titles, Expert Claims

May 28, 2024

Prince Harry and Meghan announced to the world on Jan. 8, 2020, that they would step down as senior working members of the British royal family in a move popularly dubbed “Megxit.” By spring of 2020, the transition was complete, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were no longer performing royal duties.

Since then, they have lived in the United States with Meghan’s mother and their two children. Although he and Meghan stepped down from their duties as senior royals, they have not shunned the spotlight, appearing at public charity events and pursuing their own creative and philanthropic ventures, many under their brand, Archewell Foundation.

However, tensions between their small family and the most powerful family in the world have grown and created a wall between them. Scrutiny of Harry and Meghan has intensified, and people have started expressing their disdain for every move and decision they make, especially toward their children’s lives – Archie and Lilibet

Following the cancer diagnoses of both King Charles and Kate Middleton, it has been highly reported that Harry has attempted to reach out to the royal family to make amends. However, when his trip to the United Kingdom for the Invictus Games was marred with controversy, the idea of them reconnecting and resolving their conflict grew blurrier.

After Harry’s short visit to the UK, he went to Nigeria for a trip with his wife, Meghan; but not in the role of senior working royals. However, the royal family perceived this trip differently, especially the future king, Prince William. A royal expert claims that William and King Charles have discussed stripping Meghan and Harry of their royal titles altogether. Keep reading to learn more about the potential royal family shakeup.

When news of King Charles being diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer came to light, Prince Harry flew to the United Kingdom from California to be with his ailing father. While many would expect the trip to patch their old wounds, it seems to have been the opposite. A source told The Mirror that although Charles and Harry had “warm exchanges” during his visit, he only spent 30 minutes with his father.

In addition, the source also shared that there is “no chance” that Prince William would allow his embattled brother back into the royal fold.

“Whatever has been discussed between William and the King is private, but it is absolutely and categorically clear that he (William) would not allow Harry to return. He thought it was a bad idea at the time and he’s even more clear now. If anyone is going to take on more duties it will be William and that isn’t even on the agenda for now. His main focus is on his father’s health, his family and what is best for the monarchy. There is a zero per cent chance Harry is coming back in any capacity,” the source confirmed.

Additionally, Queen Camilla, who has since stepped up from her role for her husband, also had a thing to say about Harry’s surprise visit. As sources told The National Enquirer through Radar Online, Harry arrived “with an attitude.”

"I'm told Camilla was outraged. She's taken a lot of bile from Harry for years and couldn’t wait to let him have it,” the source said. "Camilla has taken it all on the chin, but using her husband's cancer as a 'loving son' PR stunt was the last straw. After the father-son reunion, I hear she told Harry he's a disgrace to his father, the family and the monarchy – and she left no doubt he isn't wanted back!"

After his short visit to his father, Harry returned to the United Kingdom for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. During the anticipation of his return, many had theorized that Harry would finally have the chance again to meet with his father or even reconnect with his brother, Prince William, and his ailing sister-in-law, the cancer-stricken Kate

However, due to Charles’ “full programme,” Harry and his father were unable to meet. This came after Harry had decided to stay in a hotel rather than at a royal residence for his brief visit to his homeland. British broadcaster Helena Chard said Harry’s refusal was “extraordinary behavior."

"He could have stayed at St. James' Palace, a stone’s throw away from Clarence House, where the King is usually based," Chard told Fox News Digital. "Harry turned down staying in a palace, where he would have received armed security protection from the SO14 Royalty Protection Group. He chose to stay at a hotel in Mayfair without this protection.

Chard is worried that Prince Harry has “deeper-rooted problems,” which she described to be “most likely related to his mother,” Princess Diana, “as I feel his behavior is beyond strange.”

"I am, however, aware that his behavior keeps the victim narrative alive, a narrative which maybe he feels serves a purpose at this time."

On the other hand, “The King” author Christopher Andersen cast doubt on the report that Harry refused the invitation.

"There is no evidence that the king offered to put Harry up at Windsor, much less that Harry ‘turned down’ an invitation to meet his father," he told the outlet. "Yes, Harry is still battling for royal protection when he is traveling in the U.K., but that hardly means he doesn't want to check in on his cancer-stricken father.”

On The Mend

After Harry’s successful yet short visit to the United Kingdom, he hopped on a plane to Nigeria to go on a special visit with his wife, Meghan. While the trip was tagged as personal, and they clarified that it was not made in the capacity of senior royal family members, the royal family’s perception of the trip differed.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror that Prince William is “absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in (the) future.”

“Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him,” the expert added. "What’s really upset the applecart is the fact that the Nigerians treated Meghan and Harry as if they too thought this was an official tour – all the signs were there as the couple were greeted with dances, receptions, visits to schools and charities."

According to Quinn, the couple's trip included everything one would expect from an official royal visit.

"Meghan and Harry's speeches and their whole attitude has been designed to give the impression that they are still fully paid-up royals and William and his father King Charles don’t like it one bit,” Quinn added.

In another statement to The Mirror, he also revealed that Charles and William allegedly have had “lengthy discussions about stripping Meghan and Harry of their royal titles.” But they’re “terrified this would backfire and make the situation worse.”

"The last thing they want is to give the renegade royals something else to complain about. William and his father know that even without their Royal titles Meghan and Harry would carry on travelling the world as if they were royals and most people in the world will still welcome them,” Quinn confirmed.
