Kevin Bacon’s Son Travis Has Changed Since His Teens Especially In Recent Photograph Showcasing Tattoos

Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick are both known for being incredibly successful actors, and it seems like their children are following in their footsteps and making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry. While Sosie Bacon is known for being an actress just like her parents, Travis Bacon picked up some of his father’s musical abilities and has made a real name for himself in the music industry.

Some of Kevin’s most notable roles include his work in the films “Footloose” and “Mystic River,” and his role in the television series “The Following.” He has received a litany of awards and plenty of award nominations over the course of his career, where he has been able to show off his acting skills in a variety of film and TV genres. His wife, Sedgwick, is best known for her role in the crime drama “The Closer.” Together, the couple has made a real impact on the entertainment industry.

Having been in the spotlight for so long, Kevin and Sedgwick have grown to adjust to life in Hollywood, and it appears that their children are doing the same. Today, Sosie is 29 years old while Travis is 32. Travis has grown up right in front of the world’s eyes, and a lot has changed for the musician since his teenage years. Today, he has long dark hair and is covered in tattoos, helping him carry out his true rockstar persona as he pursues a career in the music industry as both a producer and musician.

Growing up with parents in the spotlight, Travis and Sosie were destined to become stars in their own right. It seems like talent runs in the family’s genes as each individual has their own skills and capabilities that they have professionally been able to showcase. Back in 2017, Kevin spoke with Closer Weekly about his relationship with his children and how much it meant to him to be a father. “The proudest accomplishment of my life is my children,” he stated. “Being a parent (means) bringing them up and trying to teach them and have them learn by example to be good, decent, compassionate, hard-working people.” 

He went on to talk about just how independent his children, especially Travis, were as kids and still are today. “We didn’t really have the kind of relationship with our kids where we would say, ‘You’ve got to do this,’” he said. “Our kids are very independent. My son refused to let me teach him how to ride a bike or how to swim.” Kevin also explained that Travis and Sosie typically never went to their parents for advice or help.

During an interview with Good Morning America in January 2021, Sedgwick opened up about her children moving out and having an empty nest. “I think it’s a real crushing blow, honestly, when they leave you,” she said. “It’s the only job that you have that if you do it well, you get fired.” The actress went on to talk more about what it’s like to see her children all grown up. “As a mom, if you do your job well, your children leave you,” Sedgwick said.

Travis was born on June 23, 1989. Having a clear passion for music, Closer Weekly reported that he earned his bachelor’s degree in audio engineering from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Before he fully entered the music scene, Travis made his acting debut in 2005 in the film “Loverboy,” alongside his two famous parents and his sister Sosie. After this, Travis shifted his career to focus more on music, leading to him becoming a member of the metal band White Widows Pact. According to Closer Weekly, he was a member of the group until 2015. A year later, he joined the metal band Black Anvil as their guitarist, a group he is still part of today.

Travis has worked hard at making a name for himself and truly making his mark on the music industry, and has even ventured out as a solo musician. While he had previously starred in a film, he changed directions on how he navigated the film industry and put his talent to use as a composer for the TV movie “Story of a Girl” in 2017 and the TV movie “Girls Weekend” in 2019. He has also been credited as a composer for “Ghost Woman,” which is in its post-production stages of development. In 2021, Closer Weekly reported that the rising star also owns his own recording company in New York called Broken Box.

Nowadays, Travis is a music producer and composer and looks like a complete rockstar. He has a sleeve of tattoos on both arms, and long dark hair to nicely frame his face. On July 14, 2021, he posted a picture of himself on his Instagram account that showed off just how cool and edgy he has become since his teenage years.
