John Legend Is In Full-Dad Mode As He Shares Snap Of ‘Angel’ Baby Daughter On His Shoulders

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are one of the most loved Hollywood couples to date. The couple has been around the public eye for so long, and they have never been shy to share their lives with their fans worldwide. 

John, a one-of-a-kind artist, has four of the major entertainment awards up his sleeve. He has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. He now belongs to a rare list of artists who have won all four awards, commonly referred to as "EGOT." He is the first Black man and the youngest to have won all four awards. Aside from that, he has captivated audiences because of his voice and musical gift. His song, "All Of Me," reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been certified Diamond because of its 14× platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Meanwhile, his wife, Teigen, whom he married in 2013, is a renowned model and a television personality. She has also hosted several shows on television, including "FABLife," "Lip Sync Battle" and "Bring the Funny," among many others. Teigen is also a renowned cookbook author as she has already published three cookbooks, including the New York Best Selling cookbook, "Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat." 

The couple has lived a very public life as they are both celebrities, with John serving as a coach on "The Voice" and Teigen appearing here and there on various television shows. Among the things that they share with their fans is their growing family.

Unbeknownst to many, Teigen has always been open about her pregnancy difficulties. She and John’s first two children were conceived artificially via in vitro fertilization (IVF). Luna Legend was born in 2016, while Miles Legend was born in 2018. 

Sadly, as they began trying to conceive a third child, they were met with an unfortunate ordeal. Teigen first announced the tragic news that the couple had lost their baby on Instagram on October 2020, alongside black-and-white photos of the couple in a hospital room. Teigen experienced complications while giving birth, and the baby didn't make it.

In January 2023, John and Teigen welcomed their third child and second daughter, Esti Maxine Legend, who was conceived by IVF again. Just six months later, they surprised the world when they announced the arrival of their fourth child and second son, Wren Alexander Legend, who was born via a surrogate mother. 

Born on June 19, 2023, Teigen shared a carousel of photos of her new son with her and John, one with her kissing Alexandra's baby bump, and finally, a sleeping photo of Wren with her cute little baby hair all up. 

With the addition of Wren, the Legend household has grown to a full six, something John described as an incredible feeling.

“We are very outnumbered now,” he told Extra with a smile and added: “We are having fun, honestly… The babies are lovely. They are just adding joy and energy to our house. Our older kids are excited to welcome their younger siblings into the world, and it just fills the house with more love.” 

It’s clear John has truly settled into dad life, as proven by the numerous photos on Instagram he shares of his children. On July 15, 2023, he posted adorable snaps of himself with Miles and Wren and captioned it, “The boys.” Just days earlier, he had also shared a stunning portrait of all of his four kids in blue gingham outfits.

But it’s not just the boys getting John’s love. On Aug. 3, 2023, John shared an adorable photo of him giving his baby girl Esti a piggyback ride and captioned it:

“Angel on my shoulders.”

John’s fans were in total agreement and expressed as much in the comments. “You and Chrissy make beautiful babies! This one growing fast 😍” one user wrote, while another said, “Another baby that looks just like YOU!”

He took to Instagram a day later to share another sweet vacation moment between him and Esti, again with the adorable infant on his shoulders. However, this time, John danced as he held Esti's hands, and the two moved to the beat. Captioned succinctly, “We on vacation,” fans were thrilled by all the adorableness on show in the clip.

“All your kids look exactly like you. You have your own league of legends lololol,” one comment read, while another user wrote, “Every time I see you and your family, I smile. Grinning from ear to ear.”

Others were completely taken by John’s smooth moves, including singer Kimbra, who remarked, “Yo the side sway is everything.” 

Others were simply enamored by John going full dad mode. “John got his hoochie daddy shorts on,” one user said, while another commented, “Sexy dance vacation Daddy active!!!”
