The “Friends” actress, 55, donned a strapless silver gown by Oscar de la Renta with gorgeous pearl ornaments and intricate beading. She accessorized the outfit with a diamond and platinum ring, vintage diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet, all from Tiffany & Co. Meanwhile, she kept her hair simple, opting to wear it down in loose waves. The star is no stranger to the red carpet, as she's dazzled fans with many stunning looks over her decades-long career.

For the 2024 Emmy Awards, Aniston represented her hit Apple TV+ series, “The Morning Show,” in which she stars alongside big names like Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. “The Morning Show” had an impressive 10 nominations and secured three wins at the ceremony. In addition to the nominations for the show, Aniston herself was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, as was her co-star, Witherspoon.

Multiple news outlets covering the prestigious event took snaps of Aniston on the red carpet in her ensemble, and it wasn’t long before internet users took to social media to give their opinions on the look. As with many celebrity red carpet looks, it is impossible to please everyone online, and negative reviews are as unsurprising as positive ones. While many fans applauded the elegant design of Aniston's gown, a number of social media users expressed dissatisfaction. 

"She has done this look so many times," remarked one Facebook commenter. 

This sentiment highlighted a sense of déjà vu in Aniston’s red carpet choices, and the user was not alone in their opinion. Another person wrote:

 "It doesn't fit in the waist. She always wears that same style. 🤷🏽‍♀️"

Critics on social media were vocal about their frustrations. 

"Omg change YR LOOK ALWAYS THE SAME…" wrote one observer. 

The fans perceived a recurring theme in her red-carpet style choices and were not hesitant about the comments. Another echoed the sentiment, saying: 

"She's beautiful but (it's) always the same!" 

The general consensus among some was that Aniston’s style, though polished, lacked the variety they had hoped for. While the internet wasn’t completely sold on Aniston’s look, the Emmy/Television Academy post certainly redeemed the actress. There were also many positive reviews about the style choice, with one Facebook user remarking:

"Perfect always yet appears effortless and always classy. Admirable especially when others are showing their underwear. She really stands out." 

Other Facebook users were also in Aniston’s corner, including one who commented: 

"She always looks great and never appears as if she's trying too hard."

Although the look garnered mixed reviews, there's no denying it was a showstopper.
