Heroic Rabbit Digs With Determination To Rescue Tiny, Trapped Kitten
Oct 10, 2018
You might think that a bunny and a kitten would make for a very unlikely friendship, but this particular rabbit took things a step further when it went to the rescue of its kitty friend! In this adorably inspiring video, Chasky the bunny rushes to the rescue.
You see, Chasky is fairly notorious in his owner's back yard for digging in one particular spot on the daily, so when the dirt started flying beside a corrugated wall, Chasky's owner, Jessica Rodriguez Fatigatti thought it was business as usual. After all, she had gotten into the habit of covering up the holes Chasky would insist on digging every single day!

She decided to get some video evidence of the bunny's crimes, and pulled out her phone to show her husband what their rabbit was up to, when she saw one of the kitten's legs. Apparently, Fluff the kitten had decided to explore Chasky's latest hole, but hadn't made it back out yet before Jessica covered the hole as she did every day.
While Jessica didn't realize that Fluff had gotten in over her head, Chasky immediately knew something was up and rushed to the kitten's rescue. All that practice in digging holes came in handy as Chasky quickly worked to re-excavate the hole he had dug earlier that day.
At first, Jessica assumed she was getting another video of the cuddly criminal in action, but not long after she hit record, she saw Fluff reach out of the hole to pat Chasky gently on the nose. She kept the cameras rolling as the hero bunny dug onwards with encouragement from his trapped fluffy friend.
Every so often, Chasky would come to a stop or flop to the ground, and for a couple of moments, it seemed like he was giving up. Mere seconds later, though, the hero bunny would be back up and at it, with Fluff the kitten pawing through the hole whenever Chasky was next to her.
Based on Chasky's determined and daring rescue attempt, the bunny was actually planning out the best plan of attack on the previously covered hole. On occasion, he would turn around to push the dirt he had just dug up further away from the hole with his forepaws after these pauses, to give him more room to keep digging, and help speed up Fluff's escape.
Around the 1:50 mark, Chasky abandons the newly dug hole for good, and you can start to see Fluff's head peeking out, as she tests out the size of it. After two minutes of digging, Chasky has finally dug the hole big enough to set his friend free
