Meghan Markle’s latest venture into streaming television, “With Love, Meghan,” has sparked a whirlwind of discussions, critiques, and analyses. Fans and critics have voiced their opinions of the Duchess of Sussex and her lifestyle show since its first set of episodes was released. The lifestyle series, which debuted on Netflix on Mar. 4, 2025, offered viewers an intimate glimpse into the Duchess of Sussex’s approach to cooking, hosting, and personal anecdotes, all while featuring a lineup of celebrity guests. To add a personal touch to the show, the celebrity guests were old and new close friends of the Duchess, who accompanied her as she worked while making several adorable candid remarks about her husband, Prince Harry, and their little family.
Meghan, 43, has garnered conflicting interest from the public since she started dating Prince Harry in 2016, followed by their departure from the royal family in a move coined “megxit.” She and Prince Harry have prioritized their privacy and do their best to keep the faces of their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, hidden from the press and the public. Given all this, it’s no wonder that her lifestyle series has attracted global attention.
The show is filmed in Montecito, in a rented home near Harry and Meghan’s mansion, with Meghan serving as both the host and executive producer. Harry and their two little ones have visited her during filming, with crew members noting the Duke of Sussex’s support and adoration for his wife. According to a crew member:
“Whenever Harry visited set, he was always super polite and friendly, but it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine.”

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan signed a $100 million deal with Netflix and “With Love, Meghan” is the fifth project they’ve collaborated on. It was also produced by Archewell Productions, a company owned by the couple. It also produced the 2022 docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
Upon its release, “With Love, Meghan” garnered attention by securing a spot in Netflix’s Top 10 shows in the United States. Impressively, it has also made it into the Top 10 list of shows in 24 other countries. According to Netflix’s global Top 10 Shows overview, the series amassed 2.6 million views and 12.6 million hours watched since its debut, positioning it at the tenth spot worldwide. Despite Meghan’s polarizing status in the United Kingdom, the show ranked higher there than in the United States, securing the seventh spot in the Top 10.
This achievement underscored a solid viewership, especially for a lifestyle program. However, the show’s reception has been a tapestry of contrasting threads, weaving together viewership metrics, critical reviews, and public opinion.
Overall, it’s safe to say that the numbers were on Meghan’s side, with her show getting impressive viewership since its debut. It joins other remarkable shows that have impressed viewers with just the first season. Fortunately for fans, the show’s second season has already started filming and will be available for viewing in late 2025.
We certainly can’t wait to see what the second season of “With Love, Meghan” has to offer!
