Harrison Ford Captured Candidly Looking In Awe Of Wife Calista Flockhart’s Beauty In Behind-The-Scenes Photo

May 23, 2023

Harrison Ford has been married to Calista Flockhart since June 15, 2010. The couple has been through a lot together during their marriage. Together, they share one adopted son and live together on a ranch in Jackson, Wyoming, that Ford has owned since the 1980s. They first met back in late January 2002 at the Golden Globes and have been in love ever since.

Ford is best known for his starring in the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises, while Flockhart's titular role as "Ally McBeal" earned her widespread recognition.

The two theatrical performers are a match made in heaven based on all accounts. Despite achieving more than a decade of marital happiness, it hasn't always been a cakewalk for the pair.

Ford has dealt with his fair share of failed relationships in the past, which makes his marriage to Flockhart even more special. He had been married twice before he met Flockhart, while she had never been previously married. After meeting in 2002, the pair dated for quite some time before getting engaged on Valentine's Day in 2009. Just over a year later, they were officially husband and wife, with a beautiful ceremony in Santa Fe, New Mexico, presided over by Governor Bill Richardson.

Both Ford and Flockhart have publicly spoken about their relationship over the years, although they tend to lead a pretty private life despite their widespread fame and recognition. At the 2023 Cannes Festival Premiere of Ford's new movie "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" on May 21, 2023, the couple flocked to the red carpet looking as dashing and gorgeous as ever.

However, that wasn't the only time the internet was swooning. In a photo that Flockhart posted on Instagram, one snap captured Ford candidly looking at his wife, in awe of her beauty.

The two first locked eyes in 2002 during the Golden Globes ceremony, and it was reported at the time that the "Ally McBeal" actress intentionally spilled her drink on Ford as an excuse to strike up a conversation.

However, the star insists that these events transpired the other way around in an interview with Hello! Magazine: "We were having a conversation for maybe 20 minutes before the wine spilled, and the truth is, Harrison spilled the wine."

Whether it was Ford who spilled the wine or not, the two went on to become one of the loveliest and most enduring couples. The couple now lives together at Ford's ranch in Wyoming and typically hosts their large family there. According to Parade, Ford has two children from his first marriage to Mary Marquardt, two from his second marriage to Melissa Mathison, and one adopted son named Liam – whom Flockhart adopted in 2001 before she met Ford.

Nowadays, the pair works together to keep their romance alive and help raise Liam. "Harrison is a wonderful parent," Flockhart gushed to Closer Weekly. "He's funny and warm and loving."

The couple has always been lovely whenever they're together on public outings, may it be during press events or red-carpet premieres. Behind closed doors, the two seemed to be also looking in love with each other.

At 80, Ford is still looking mighty and full of energy, which is why he was still able to do "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," the fifth movie of the franchise. Contrary to his character in the movie, which always has to be firm, courageous, and unrelenting, Ford seemed to be more than that as he showed a more vulnerable side of himself in a candid photo that his wife's stylist posted online.

Ahead of the "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," Ford was recognized with an honorary Palme d'Or – the highest prize that the festival can give an actor. This is to recognize his achievements in the film industry and contributions to cinema.

In his speech, Ford thanked his wife: "My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passions and my dreams and I'm grateful. And you know, I love you too. You've given my life purpose and meaning and I'm grateful for that, so grateful."

Truly, Ford's love for his wife is overflowing. In a photo that Flockhart's stylist posted on Instagram, the "Star Wars" actor was seen admiring her from afar.

At 58, Flockhart looked ageless in her black Zuhair Murad tulle gown with velvet trim. Ford, at the door of their hotel room, is grinning with delight as he is included in the candid snap, looking dearly at his wife of 13 years.

The two posed in front of the camera before strutting the red carpet as seen on Flockhart's stylist's Instagram carousel. When they arrived on the red carpet, the couple looked very happy and brimming with excitement as the movie premiered in front of hundreds of people at the prestigious film festival.

In the comments section, fans of Ford and Flockhart were enamored with the couple's sweet moment together.

"Get someone who looks at you the way Harrison is looking at Calista in that second pic!! 😍❤" a fan shared.

"I love the photo with Harrison admiring her in this gorgeous dress," another commented.

"Harrison's look peering in the room is priceless," someone wrote in the comments.
