Gwen Stefani Admits Husband Blake Shelton Is Her ‘Dream Come True’ As He Earns Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been a music power couple for many years now. Their relationship is incredibly sweet, as they've had a very high-profile romance since meeting in 2015. They often praise each other on social media and declare their love for each other. After getting married in 2021, the two have been enjoying the life of a married couple in the countryside. The two now reside in Shelton’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, along with Stefani’s three children from her former marriage to Gavin Rossdale. 

Shelton and Stefani met on the set of the popular singing competition show, "The Voice," where they were both coaches and quickly developed a close friendship that eventually turned into romance. One of the reasons Shelton and Stefani's relationship captured the public's attention is their seemingly unlikely pairing. Shelton was from Oklahoma, while Stefani hails from the glitzy California life.

Ever since they became a couple, the two have always showered each other with praises and never-ending affirmations. Shelton has also gone the extra mile as he takes a step back from the limelight as he promised to give more time to his new family. He is now a doting stepfather to Stefani's children and assumed the responsibility of raising them together with his wife. Stefani has three children: 16-year-old Kingston, 14-year-old Zuma and 9-year-old Apollo.

Shelton announced that he is stepping down as a coach on “The Voice” after 23 seasons to focus on more time with his family, noting that he was ready to enter this new phase in his life. But before this, Shelton rightfully earned his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame where he was yet again praised and complimented by his wife Stefani. Notably, Shelton and Stefani met when they were recovering from their own respective divorces. Shelton with Miranda Lambert, and Stefani with Rossdale, the father of her children. 

Despite each of their experiences with heartbreak, the couple found love in one another and are now happier than ever. In an interview with Billboard shortly after they started dating, Shelton shared exactly how he felt about Stefani.

"Next thing I know, I wake up and she's all I care about, and I'm ­wondering if she feels the same about me," Shelton said. "Gwen saved my life."

Stefani is also enjoying happily ever after with her musically-gifted husband, as she told Drew Barrymore on her talk show that she never imagined she would find love again after her divorce.

“I was like, 'I'm gonna wake up every day, I'm gonna have a coffee, I'm gonna take care of my kids and then I'm gonna go to bed.' Like I'm never gonna kiss anyone," the singer recounted. "I thought my life was over and then Blake Shelton's like, 'Hey. I'm Blake Shelton.'"

She said Shelton was more than just a husband:

"Finding a best friend, someone that is on the same plane when it comes to morals, or just the way you look at life, that's the dream,” she continued. “We think the same about things, yet we're so different. Like, he's watching football and doing his stuff that he does, and I'm putting makeup on. We're so different, yet we're so the same on so many levels."

Like a true couple, Shelton and Stefani were there for each other at their lowest and their highest. When Shelton was honored with his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, his whole family was present at the ceremony. 

Weeks before his impending departure from "The Voice," the Hollywood Walk of Fame honored the country music star with his very own star on May 12, 2023. In her speech, Stefani was overflowing with affirmations about her husband. 

“It blows my mind to be here today standing on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, celebrating my husband, by the way, Blake Shelton. You are so deserving of this honor, and the boys and I and all of your family, your friends, your colleagues could not be more proud,” she started. 

Per Stefani, Shelton is a “rare human being,” and despite the success he has amassed he is still the same guy he was back before his fame. 

“A country guy with a love for country music. He’s magnetic. The most generous person you’ll ever know, and always just him no matter where he goes making people happy, laugh, making jokes, and always playing jokes.”

But Stefani wasn’t yet done with her speech. Enthralled with her husband’s success, she said that Shelton was there that day because he is part of a dream: 

“The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American dream, and everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you,” she said, which touched her husband and the crowd. 

Shelton returned the love to his wife and was also unfaltering with sweetness in his words during his speech. 

"I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake," he gushed. "I love you so much, and that's the great thing that's happened along this journey."
