Girl Born With Dozens Of Birthmarks Is Bullied Because Of Her Appearance For Years - Becomes A Model
Jul 16, 2021
A young mother with a unique look has recently taken the world by storm with her effervescent beauty and positive attitude. Marika Nagy was born with spotted birthmarks covering her entire body from head to toe. Looking like large freckles, the benign birthmarks have been a big part of Nagy's life and have even led her to redefine the conventional beauty standard.
Growing up was challenging for the young mom as she faced plenty of criticism and bullying from her classmates and peers for her different look. She was called names and ridiculed for not looking the same as everyone else. Her extremely rare skin condition is called Congenital Melanocytic Nevus (CMN). Today, Nagy has taken control of the way people view her and has even gone on to become a highly successful model and social media influencer.
Residing in Bremen, Germany, Nagy has used her skin condition — something she used to be self-conscious about and made fun of for — to her advantage, and she has put a brand new spin on the beauty industry. Her trailblazing ways have been crucial in helping to pave the way for other people with unique looks to join the industry as well as finding their own success. It took a bit of time and plenty of life lessons for Nagy to become as confident as she is today, but with the love of her baby boy and support from her fans, this woman has already begun making a name for herself and earning her place as a successful model.

Redefining The Beauty Industry
Referring to herself as "probably THE finest chocolate chip cookie" on her Instagram account, Nagy has definitely taken the world by storm with her incredibly individualistic appearance. During a segment called "Shake My Beauty," the influencer opened up about how rare her condition is and what her life has been like living with CMN. "It's only one in 500,000 born babies that look exactly the same way as I do," Nagy said.
News24 reported that 60% of Nagy's body is covered in birthmarks, something that led her rude classmates to taunt her with harsh nicknames. It took a while for the current model to feel confident, but that was changed after the birth of her adorable baby boy, as she has actually credited her child as the reason behind her newfound confidence. "You realize as a parent that you want your child to be happy – that's more important than visual appearance," she said.
In 2018, Nagy was just starting out as a model and had worked with a few local photographers in her area, and has since gone on to really work on making her mark in the fashion industry. News24 reported that she had done photoshoots for a number of clients, including German underwear brand Tizz & Tonic. "I seem to be kind of a new beauty standard," Nagy said.
"When I was young, I had no one to look up to," she added. "I didn't feel represented. Fashion pages were filled with perfect people." Being a model, Nagy has worked hard at redefining beauty standards and showing that there is beauty in imperfection. "My birthmarks make me special," she said. "The world would be a very boring place if we all looked the same."
