Francesca Eastwood Posts Sweet Tribute To Dad Clint Eastwood On Father's Day
Jun 23, 2021
Clint Eastwood is an American actor, producer, director, and composer. He is known for a large number of films, but amongst the more popular is the "Dirty Harry" series from the 1970s and 1980s. Eastwood played the titular role of antihero cop Harry Callahan.
Eastwood made a name for himself through starring in Western films such as the classic "Dollars Trilogy," and "Rawhide." He is also an award-winning director in his own right, having won the Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture for his films "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby."
Eastwood loves music and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree from the Berklee College of Music. He wrote the film scores for his films "Mystic River," "Million Dollar Baby," "Flags of Our Fathers," "Grace Is Gone," "Changeling," "Hereafter," and "J. Edgar." He has also been honored with two of France's highest civil orders—the Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion of Honour medal.
In 1986, Eastwood was voted mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. He served for two terms and has always shown an interest in California politics. Eastwood has been married twice in his life and has had a number of public relationships. He has eight children and stays involved in their lives despite his busy schedule.
Despite being in the public eye for his acting career and a famous brood of children—most of them followed in his footsteps and are also part of the film industry—Eastwood has always tried to keep his private life very private. However, his daughter, Francesca Eastwood, decided to make a public tribute to her father on Instagram. In honor of Father's Day on Sunday, June 20, 2021, and the days after, Francesca uploaded a series of posts dedicated to her father.
Born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California, Clint Eastwood's family grew up in a wealthy area of town in a house that had a swimming pool, while each parent had their own car and the family belonged to a country club. His father was a manufacturing executive at Georgia-Pacific, while his mother worked in a clerical role at IBM. Despite this privileged upbringing, Eastwood got into trouble as a youth, and it's uncertain whether he actually graduated from high school.
As a young man, he worked in a range of odd jobs, including as a lifeguard, grocery clerk, forest firefighter, golf caddy, and paper carrier. While he attempted to enroll at Seattle University in 1951, he was instead drafted into the United States Army during the middle of the Korean War.
The rest, as they say, is history. Eastwood's work in the spaghetti western genre propelled him to international stardom and led to his later work in the Dirty Harry films of the '70s and '80s. Having conquered acting, he moved on to directing by the 1990s and has had great critical and commercial success with movies such as "Million Dollar Baby," "Mystic River," and "Letters From Iwo Jima." He's been honored with many accolades during his lengthy career, including Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and the Venice Film Festival's Golden Lion award for lifetime achievement, among numerous other film awards. He's even been honored with two of France's highest civil orders—the Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion of Honour medal.
But alongside his life full of career highs and lows, Eastwood has had a personal life that's been just as full. Eastwood's eight children—who were born between 1964 and 1996—are from a string of different relationships.

After a relationship with actress Frances Fisher, Clint Eastwood had another daughter named Francesca Fisher-Eastwood, who was born in 1993. She also followed in the footsteps of her two acting parents, with her earliest role as a toddler in the 1995 movie "The Stars Fell on Henrietta." She's also appeared in some of her dad's films, including "True Crime" and "Jersey Boys," as well as the series "Fargo" and "Twin Peaks." In September 2018, she had a child with her boyfriend and fellow actor, Alexander Wraith.
On Sunday, June 20, 2021, and a few days after, Clint's daughter Francesca decided to honor her father with a series of posts uploaded to her Instagram. She warmed hearts as she showed her father with his grandson, Titan. The caption read:
"Best dad. Best grandfather. ♥️"
Another post featured a throwback image of a young Francesca hugging her father on the red carpet. The caption said:
"As always a day late but sharing some appreciation for Father's Day."
Because two posts are not enough to express her love for her father, Francesca shared a final third post a few days after Father's Day. The photo uploaded was more recent and featured her and Clint posing for red carpet photos. This time, Francesca wrote:
"Everything love u d"
The 27-year-old became a mom back in September of 2018 when she had a son with her longtime boyfriend, Alexander Wraith. She shared the news of her pregnancy months ahead of time at the 28th Annual Environmental Media Awards. Francesca attended the award show with her mother, Frances Fisher.
