Foster Kitten Captures Hearts By Smiling Adorably During A Photo Shoot
Dec 16, 2022
Little kittens that find themselves in an animal shelter have usually had a rough start. From abuse to abandonment, rarely do these furry babies have stories that are pleasant. But, despite the struggles that these kittens endure, one little kitty named Blossom wasn’t letting it get her down. Blossom had a photo shoot in 2019 where she gave the cutest and most surprising smile of all!
Lauren Boutz is the foster mom who is currently taking care of Blossom and her litter-mates. Boutz was having photos taken of the three kittens, which she called the “Powerpurr Girls” when Blossom charmed her with the most adorable smile of all time.
Thankfully, Boutz was able to catch a quick snap of Blossom’s sweet smile, which she posted online. The photo immediately went viral. Over thousands upon thousands of people liked the picture and shared it on Facebook. No surprise, Blossom’s smile was just too much for people not to want their friends to see.
Boutz explained that she is a foster parent with the City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department and that she specializes in caring for kittens. Boutz not only brought attention to Blossom but also highlighted her twin sisters, Bubbles and Buttercup. When the pictures were posted, the kittens were only 5 weeks old.
Even though it’s been some time since the photos were posted, people have continued to gush over the sheer adorableness the kitten exuded – especially Blossom.
People around the globe have fallen in love with Blossom and her litter-mates, with some posters claiming that the sweet photos even made them cry!

Little Blossom has become so popular that Boutz even joined a Facebook group dedicated to the precious cat called Blossom’s Devotees, which she surprisingly did not create. She explained:
“I have been fostering kittens on and off for seven years now. Blossom was one of three kittens called the Powerpurr Girls, that I fostered from October 2019 – January 2020. All three girls were adopted by wonderful furever families and are doing great!”
Boutz added, “We’re all here for our love of Blossom, so let’s share that love and help each other smile! ”
The animal lover also shared more behind-the-scenes photographs from the photo shoot, revealing even more precious takes of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. It’s safe to say that people in the comments couldn’t get enough of the kitties. One person said, “Oh my god just made my day.” Another simply stated, “Blossom my fav.” A third person jokingly said, “When she’s not smiling she’s screaming and I can relate.”
In October 2022, Boutz went to Instagram to commemorate the photo shoot she had done three years prior. She wrote in the caption, “I can’t believe it’s been 3 years! Blossom smiled for the camera.” Once again, the post inspired people to share their love for Blossom as well as their love for cats all around the world.
While Blossom has certainly brought joy to those using social media, it’s important to remember that she isn’t the only kitten in foster care that is looking for a home. If you want to add a furry friend to your home, consider making a visit to your local animal shelter, where you can see the sweet, homeless kittens there.
