You could find some fantastic things inside a thrift shop. If you wish to save money on sporting goods, a thrift shop might be the best place to check out. Confirming the glove once belonged to her son wasn't too difficult. His name was on the glove, "Christopher Lisi." The surprising part was how and when he lost the glove. Parents Julie and Michael Lisi now live in Florida, and Julie found the glove in the Sunshine State. Christopher lost the glove in Ohio in 1978.
In 1978, Christopher hit two home runs to help win a season-ending little league game for his team, reports The New York Times. The event was a proud moment for ten-year-old Christopher. Sadly, he lost the glove somehow after the game. It never turned up, and Christopher felt terrible about losing a souvenir from such a cherished memory.

After 42 years, it would seem any idea of recovering the glove would be impossible. Essentially, higher chances were that it would end up in someone's garage or basement, long forgotten. Worse, it could have gone to a local dumpsite after a cleanout. Apparently, someone held onto it for years, moved to Florida with it, and finally sold it to a thrift shop.
No one knows how the old glove found its way to Jupiter, FL. Thankfully though, it did, and Mrs. Lisi came across it while browsing in the thrift shop.
As soon as she saw the glove, she was overcome with emotion. “When I first saw my wife, she was on the verge of tears and shaking,” Mr. Lisi said. “I thought something happened and she turned the glove over and right down the side I could see.”
When she sent a photo of the mitt to her son, Christopher too was extremely excited. "He was thrilled, he was jumping up and down,” Mrs. Lisi said. “He just said, ‘Mom, bring it home.’”
Today, the Lisi family, for whom baseball gloves already carry an emotional weight, has the glove back. Their story one of the most amazing, if not miraculous, thrift shopping tales out there.
