Fans Have A Lot Of Things To Say About Rumer Willis’ Rumored New Love A Month After Breakup With Her Baby Daddy

In September 2024, Rumer Willis was seen stepping out with a new beau after confirming that she had split from ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. Rumer – the eldest daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore – and the Vista Kicks frontman were together for two years before ending their relationship. The 36-year-old actress split from the musician a year after they welcomed their daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, into the world. 

Rumer confirmed the end of her relationship with Thomas in an August 2024 Instagram story, which has since expired. In it, the actress was responding to a fan’s question about her relationship status and whether she was still with Thomas. Confirming the split, the actress responded:

“Nope ... I am single momming it And Coparenting.”

Rumer chose to remain optimistic after the break, adding that she was grateful for the good things that had come into her life as a result of her relationship with Thomas, especially her daughter.

“I’m so grateful for Lou ... She is the best thing in my life and I’m forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life,” she added.

Since then, the “Wild Cherry” actress has seemingly found love again – this time with a mystery man rumored to be a firefighter. Rumer and her new beau were spotted cozying up to one another outside a fire station. In the photos, Rumer sported a flowy floral blue dress, tan cowboy boots and casual shades to complete her look, while her new man wore a navy blue firefighter T-shirt and matching joggers. The pair were packing on the PDA. As expected, netizens had several things to say about the rumored new couple. Read on to hear their thoughts. 

Social media users did not waste time expressing their opinions about Rumer Willis’ new romance after the PDA-packed paparazzi photos were posted on social media. The comments varied, with some congratulating the actress on her new romance and others warning her to steer clear of the firefighter. One Instagram user commented:

“A firefighter 🔥 very good (choice) 🙌🏻” 

Following the positive theme and commenting on the unknown firefighter’s resemblance  to a well-known heartthrob, actor and producer, another person observed:

“He looks like a young David Arquette.”

One of the more interesting remarks hearkened to the debate of whether celebrities are better suited with other celebrities or have more lasting relationships with non-celebrities. The user complimented Rumer on her choice of partner, writing:

“I’m so glad ‘celebrities’ are starting to realize there’s nothing better than dating normal people 👏🏼🙌🏼”

However, not everyone had positive things to say about the rumored new couple. Some were of the opinion that the actress should tread carefully with the firefighter on the basis of his profession. 

“(Girl) run you’re too pretty to deal with a walking red flag,” one user warned.

Another person agreed, cautioning the actress against her newfound love. 

“Someone tell her to RUN as fast as she can in the opposite direction!” they wrote. 

Rumer has yet to confirm or deny the rumors of her new relationship, and the timeline between her breakup with Thomas and the start of her new romance is still unknown. However, this paparazzi sighting comes only a month after the actress confirmed her split from the musician on Instagram.

Whether the actress and her rumored firefighter beau are solid or not is still not confirmed, but we wish Rumer the best of luck and hope she and Thomas continue to navigate co-parenting peacefully.
