Fans Express Concern For Priscilla Presley After She Revealed Details About Life With Elvis

Priscilla Presley's life as a public figure played out for decades due to her iconic Hollywood romance with the late king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. During Elvis's lifetime, he brewed a love story that could be cut out of a sizzling Hollywood romance movie with Priscilla. Despite the perfect storybook romance, the relationship fizzled out under the weight of fame and marital issues. 

Besides her marriage to the late rocker, Priscilla worked in the showbiz industry, forging a career as an actress and a successful businesswoman. On Sept. 4, 2023, Presley appeared at the Venice Film Festival, delving into the love she shared with Elvis. The event also signified the world premiere of Sofia Coppola's new film, "Priscilla." While the Presley matriarch graced the occasion with her presence, fans shared their opinions and concerns about her appearance. 

Elvis and Priscilla met in 1959 during a party hosted by Elvis in Bad Nauheim, Germany. After their first meeting at the party, the duo went on a date where they had their first kiss. The couple continued in their relationship, but not everything was rosy as they had a solid decade age difference. In 1985, during an interview, Priscilla shared that Elvis recreated her to "match" his appearance. She said:

"He wanted to mold me to his opinions and preferences. Fidelity was very important to him, especially on the woman's part."

Still together through it all, the couple got married on May 1, 1967, and welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. However, six years later, Priscilla filed for divorce but kept Elvis's name and remained close friends until his death. 

The businesswoman has had her own share of rough days. Fortunately, after the divorce, she was able to find her voice again and restore herself to what she wanted. Priscilla also went back into the dating world and shares a son, Navarone Garibaldi, with Marco Garibaldi. 

Priscilla was spotted in the outing on Sept. 2, 2023, which was days after she revealed that before her late daughter, Lisa Marie, passed away, she had complained her stomach was "hurting really bad" days before. Lisa Marie died from a bowel obstruction on Jan. 12, 2023. The obstruction was caused by a previous weight-loss surgery, and at the time of her death, some opioids were discovered in her blood.

Lisa Marie was last seen publicly on Jan. 10, 2023, when she attended the Golden Globes Award with Priscilla. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Presley gave details of her final memories with her daughter. She shared how she had tripped a bit on the stairs even when they had not drunk yet, and they laughed about it. 

Priscilla added that when they wanted to order drinks, Lisa Marie said, "Mom, my stomach hurts really bad," and they had to leave. Unfortunately, two days later, the actress got a call from her daughter's ex-husband, Danny Keough, that Lisa Marie had collapsed and was in the hospital. Priscilla added:

"I got right in the car, but she was already gone. I still can't believe it. I don't wish this on any mother."

The actress was spotted in Venice for the 80th International Film Festival. She looked dazzling in a leopard print blouse paired with a cropped black blazer and matching trousers. A few days after the outing, Priscilla opened up about her love life with Elvis during a press conference.

Priscilla's revelation about her relationship with Elvis came after she watched "Priscilla" at the Venice Film Festival. Se attended the world premiere of the movie. The film was a biopic based on the actress's "Elvis and Me" 1985 memoir. Coppola produced and directed the film. 

During the press conference, Priscilla took to the microphone and commented on Coppola's hard work. She also talked about her relationship with Elvis. While she was not part of the panel, the movie elicited nostalgic emotions. She shared:

"It's very difficult to watch a film about you and your life and about your love. But Sofia did an amazing job. She did her homework. And I really put everything out for her that I could."

Priscilla also looked back at the progression of her and Elvis' relationship. She noted that it was "very difficult" for her parents to comprehend the relationship. However, they had quite a connection that made Elvis open up to her even though she was way younger. 

Following Priscilla's appearance at the 80th International Film Festival in Venice, fans expressed their concerns, per a Dailymail post. One fan commented, "Wish she would move on from the Presley surname, live your life & be free from him, it's kinda sad she won't date or remarry." Another fan wrote, "I feel sorry for her especially now but she has always looked sad and lost over the years." 

One person chimed, "Priscilla used to be an elegant and well dressed woman." Another fan suggested a new look, stating, "Priscilla should go back to her brown hair, red does not suit her." Other fans also talked about how Priscilla has not had enough time to mourn her daughter.
