Everyone Ignored 'Werewolf' On the Side Of The Road Until A Woman Came To Its Rescue
Jul 04, 2018
For many months, people avoided the scary looking animal standing along the road in Madera Ranchos, California. Many of them even started to call him a werewolf due to his skinny, balding appearance. He also had a broken tail and scaly, hard skin that was quite off-putting to those who saw him.
Finally, a passerby decided to try and get the animal some assistance. He took a picture of the neglected animal and posted on Facebook looking for help. Megan Bowe saw the picture and knew she had to do something right away. Bowe is the founder of Bowe’s Adoptable Rescued Pups.
Bowe was horrified at how bad the so-called “werewolf” was. In reality, he was only just a German Shepherd mix that had been neglected and was sick. She was surprised at how easy it was for her to persuade the dog to get up into the car with her. He seemed to be relieved that someone was helping him. She knew she had to get him to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic right away.
Megan decided to give the dog a name. King seemed fitting! After the veterinarian examined the dog, he told Megan that he had a few injuries, including a broken tail and pelvis. He also had a few diseases. Not only that, King wasn’t as old as he looked! He was only about a year old.

King Starts to Recover
Megan took King back to her house and set him up in an isolated space in her garage so as not to infect her other animals with his contagious diseases. Megan began giving King bigger and bigger portions of food so that he could gain enough strength for surgery.
His surgery took place about a month later. It was completely successful!
King now takes daily walks to help strengthen his legs. After he recovers fully, he will be up for adoption. Some lucky family will hopefully give him the home he so deserves! Thank goodness for Megan Bowe! It just goes to show that one person can make all the difference in the world.
