Emma Heming Made Everyone Swoon With Adorable Throwback Video Of Bruce Willis Playing With His Daughter Mabel
Apr 27, 2023
Since Bruce Willis’ family announced he was retiring from acting in March 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, they have all banded together around him to love and support him through his difficult transition. They again closed ranks when they broke the devastating news that the actor had also been diagnosed with dementia in February 2023.
Bruce is one of the most legendary Hollywood actors of all time. He is most famous for his roles in action films, including the “Die Hard” franchise, as well as notable roles in “Pulp Fiction,” “Armageddon” and “The Sixth Sense,” among other films. During his nearly 40-year career, Bruce showed off quite a diverse set of talents, as he appeared in films and television shows in a variety of genres and even showed off his skills as a singer.
Aside from being a great actor, he is also a very loved family man. He married actress Demi Moore in 1987 and had three daughters – Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis. Despite divorcing in 2000, Bruce and Moore remained good friends and have been co-parenting their children since. The actor was lovestruck when he met Emma Heming, whom he married later in 2009. The couple has two children – Mabel, born in 2012, and Evelyn, born in 2014.
Since Bruce’s saddening diagnosis, the Willis household has never been stronger. Like one big blended family, Moore and Heming have worked together to take good care of Willis. On April 16, 2023, Heming posted a throwback video of the Willis patriarch with his daughter Mabel, taken when their daughter was presumably younger in age.
The video just goes to show that Willis, despite his villainous facade in his films, is a very caring and doting father to his children.
Since being diagnosed with the debilitating condition, Bruce’s family members have taken to social media to post photos and videos to show the world how great a father Bruce is to them—reminding him, at the same time, about the precious moments he had with his family throughout the years.
The condition disrupts a person’s ability to communicate and understand speech. Despite the setback, Bruce, Heming, Moore, and all the children have moved forward as a strong family unit and continue to give the “12 Monkeys” star the support and love he needs.
Radar Online learned from an insider that the actor is "determined to stay coherent and lucid" as long as possible to be present and active for his grandchildren and the entire family.
True enough, Bruce’s family has been fond of spending more time together as one big family. The actor is a regular feature on his loved ones' social media. In October 2022, Heming shared a heartwarming video of Bruce and their daughters on Instagram. In the video, Bruce could be seen dancing his heart out, running around, laughing, and overall enjoying life with his girls.
During the 2022 holiday season, more photos of the family were posted on social media. Photos posted by Moore and their daughters on Instagram showed the entire family, including Heming, Mabel and Evelyn, hanging out at home as one unit. One photo showed Bruce alongside Moore and Heming, surrounded by his daughters, with everyone sporting big and joyful smiles. Another photo showed Bruce and Heming holding hands at the dinner table, with Bruce beaming with happiness.

In April 2023, the world smiled once again as Heming shared another post on Instagram of her beloved husband. The photos were in celebration of Mabel’s 11th birthday and showed Mabel with Heming and Bruce over the past decade of her life. It also contained the hashtag “#liveitup” — a famous Bruce saying.
Bruce was seen smiling happily at his daughter, watching her play the piano, giving her a sweet kiss on the head, and several other heartwarming moments.
In another Instagram post that Heming shared on April 16, 2023, she took everyone a trip down memory lane in an adorable video of Bruce playing with little Mabel.
The video was overflowing with cuteness as Bruce let Mabel bite into a slice of lemon, prompting his daughter to shake and giggle her head from the sourness. Mabel smacked her lips as she tried to dry away the acid.
Later on in the clip, Bruce told Mabel, “You’ve got the hot shot,” as he held on to him, mimicking her reaction to the lemon wedge’s sour taste.
“This Sunday cuteness is brought to you by Mabel and Dada,” Heming captioned her post before adding a lemon and a winking face with tongue emoji.
As expected, everyone online loved the cute video, prompting them to leave comments on the post.
“He’s the kind of father I always wished I had. He is so loving and bonded with his children,” a fan commented.
“Thank you for sharing this beautiful little private moments. I hurt for you, Bruce and The Family every day,” someone shared.
We love seeing Bruce having so much fun with his loved ones and can’t wait to see what new cherished moments await him and his family.
