Eight Siblings Perform Dance Medley At Their Sister's Wedding With Practiced Coordination
Mar 10, 2021
Back in 2018, a wedding in Hungary took a wonderful turn when all eight siblings of the bride broke into a coordinated dance. Luckily, Farkas Ferenc Film captured the routine on video for viewers across the world to see.
Things began simply enough, however. With the bride and groom seated in a place of honor among family and friends, the bride's siblings decided to entertain everyone with a little dancing. The shock only came later when the crowd likely realized the sheer amount of planning that had gone into their routine.
The four boys went first. They launched into a synchronized rendition of the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way,” which included everything from sunglasses to cool poses. While the boys mostly pulled off their too-cool-for-school looks, the smallest performer’s untucked shirt reminds us all of how sweet and adorable the whole routine is, too.
The girls performed next. They twirled, giggled and shimmied to "Tell Him" by Linda Ronstadt and "Better When I'm Dancing" by Meghan Trainor. The bride was seen clapping in delight as her younger sisters effortlessly charmed the crowd.
The real kicker, however, was when all eight siblings lined up together. An expectant hush fell over the crowd. What would they do next? Howls erupted when they started performing "Radha," an upbeat Bollywood dance song. Their efforts were completely synchronized with both the brothers and sisters flawlessly dancing the same moves.
The little ones weren't quite able to keep up with the older ones, but that only added to the adorableness. The crowd cheered and clapped to the beat to encourage them.

When the song was over, the bride was visibly overwhelmed with love, joy and gratitude. Her face was crumpled with emotion as she tried not to cry on what was likely one of the most important days of her life. She wound up blowing kisses to the siblings who had worked so hard to give her a memorable experience.
In the final moments of the video, the bride and groom descended from their platform, wrapping all eight siblings into a group hug.
“This surprise dance was performed on a wedding by the 8 siblings of the bride,” Ádám Réthy wrote alongside the video. “To answer some further question, we are from Hungary, and we learned it by our own … Anyway watch it & Enjoi!”
Not surprisingly, the dance video went viral after being uploaded to YouTube. Since Réthy uploaded the clip to his channel in 2018, the video has accumulated more than 22 million views, 250,000 likes and thousands of comments — many of which are overwhelmingly positive. "This is the best surprise wedding dance I've ever seen," Andrea Williams wrote.
"(From) a mothers view this got me emotional to see how much love is in that room," Rachel Copas commented. Other comments were more playful. "Lemme just say.... (your) family is blessed with the looks," Alana Trotter added.
For fans of this clip, it turns out that there’s an entire corner of YouTube devoted to wedding videos. In another popular wedding clip out of Poland, a couple reenacted the famous final dance scene from the ‘80s film “Dirty Dancing.”

Ada and Mateusz, the bride and groom in question, surprised their wedding guests with the dance in 2018 — a popular year for weddings, perhaps? — when they performed their choreographed dance to the song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” But make no mistake. This is no amateur video, as viewers will find out. Film production studio Beres Film professionally captured the dance, using multiple high definition cameras from different angles. And the results are breathtaking — not to mention romantic!
The video, which has since accumulated more than 14 million views, begins with the two smiling lovebirds on an empty dance floor. This dance, the couple’s first, is special, and so the wedding’s many guests give the couple room and watch from the sidelines. And as soon as Ada takes Mateusz’s hand, the crowd cheers. It really is like something out of a movie: a picture-perfect couple, a beautiful outdoor dance floor, dozens of beaming loved ones and a romantic song about the passion of love playing in the background.
Ada and Mateusz's routine largely mirrors director Emile Ardolino’s “Dirty Dancing” finale in which Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), the film’s hero, makes an unexpected appearance to dance with his lover, Baby (Jennifer Gray), at a talent show toward the end of the movie. We’re sure that “Dirty Dancing” fans familiar with the scene are asking themselves one question: do Ada and Mateusz pull off the film’s famous “lift”? While it’s worth watching the video below to find out for yourself, let’s just say that Mateusz definitely impresses the guests and viewers with his upper-body strength.
In fact, there are countless commenters who seem impressed with the couple’s inclusion of Johnny and Baby’s difficult and spectacular lift.
“Me wondering if they're actually gonna do it. O: They DID IT!!” Marie Killingsworth wrote, alluding to the legendary dance move.
“Waiting for the lift.. The lift... The liiiiift - OH MY GOSH THE LIFT!!!” a YouTuber by the name of Marta commented.
“Dear future husband,” Gaby Polanco added, “You better start lifting heavy .....ill see you in five years 😂.”
Other viewers seem inspired by Ada and Mateusz’s wedding itself, with one commenter writing that he can tell that this “man and woman are truly in love.”
Ada and Mateusz's romantic reenactment of this iconic Hollywood moment just goes to show how important “Dirty Dancing” and “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” have become. And thanks to their great dancing skills and the passion these two bring to this performance, it’s safe to say that these two have done the scene justice. As one commenter writes, “Patrick Swayze is proudly clapping up in heaven.”
Both of these wedding videos are no doubt inspiring for couples who are getting ready to tie the knot. But regardless of whether you’ve recently married, are single or just got out of a long relationship, these videos certainly seem to spread the spirit of love across the globe. Whether it's a cute group of siblings dancing in Hungary or a beautiful couple in Poland, these videos are likely to warm the coldest of hearts.
An enthusiastic viewer sums it up nicely in his comment when he writes, “Let's be honest, no one searched for this, but everyone needed it.”
