A short video features Kupata, a former stray dog living in Batumi, Georgia, who notices a teacher and many kindergarten students waiting to cross the street. They are at a crosswalk and don't want to take any risks with moving traffic.
Kupata takes notice of the situation and heads into the street. He barks at the cars as if to tell them to stop. Once the coast is clear and the cars stop, the little kids begin to cross. Kupata doesn't leave their side. He stays near them and helps them cross safely.

You might think this was a random event luckily captured by someone with a phone camera upon watching the video. The truth is that this is Kupata's friendly routine.
Kupata seems to have a kinship with the children, and he shows his caring nature by helping them cross the street every day. Who says dogs can't get into a regular schedule?
Some wonder what prompted Kupata to take on the duties of a crossing guard. Maybe he sensed humans, especially vulnerable children, needed some assistance. Sometimes, the children wait a long time for cars to come to a stop.
Drivers aren't always considerate, even when little kids want to cross the street. Onlookers point out that Kupata would often growl at vehicles.
Apparently, the dog felt annoyed that drivers would not stop. The smart dog eventually decided to do his part to help the children stuck at the corner.
Although Kupata may growl and bark at cars, ITV reports, he seems to be friendly towards pedestrians. Photos of someone petting the dog show Kupata seems to like attention. That said, petting a stray dog could be risky. Always approach stray animals with caution.
The Adjara Tourism Department recognized Kupata's good deeds. The agency recently placed a star on the sidewalk honoring the dog's contributions. He does deserve the acclaim, along with the added care people give him. It looks like people are returning Kupata's good deeds.
No one seems to figure out why Kupata took on the role of the children's protector. Did he once come from a home and ended up lost? The dog's background may be somewhat mysterious, but at least we know his life turned out happily.
Everyone loves a fun animal tale. Tell people about Kupata and show them the video. The story and the video could brighten up their day. And don't forget to let us know what you think of this story!
