Many people think that depression is just a phase that someone goes through. They think that someone is just sad and wants to stay in bed all the time without facing the struggles that are associated with daily life.

Depression is often overwhelming feelings of sadness. It's overeating because you don't have anything else to do and because eating makes you feel better. Sometimes, you might not want to eat at all. There is usually a feeling of being hopeless in life.

Crying is a part of the daily routine for most people while others who are severely depressed sometimes have feelings of committing suicide.

Isolation from family members and friends and not taking part in daily activities are also signs that someone is depressed. When you're told about depression, these are some of the things that doctors and other people talk about, but there's often much more to this significant time in life.

There are numerous faces that are associated with depression. Someone might go out of the way to do something good for someone else because it's the right thing to do and because no one cares enough to do the same thing for them.

Depression is when you listen to other people talk about their feelings and cry but tell those same people that you're fine and that you don't need any kind of help because you want to deal with your problems on your own.

Others think that you have it all together when you're really falling apart on the inside. You might go out with your friends to get a drink or do something fun before you go home just to get back in bed and stay there for the rest of the week.

You might have a smile on your face when you're outside of your home but cry uncontrollably when you're in your house. There are various sizes when it comes to depression, and it doesn't show any favoritism as it can impact anyone of any age or background.

Most people deal with depression silently, but there are resources available that can help if people will seek them out.

A hug is all that some people need along with a little encouragement. Sometimes, the only thing that someone needs is conversation. They need to know that there is someone there for them. It doesn't always mean that people have to know the exact words to say to someone as long as they offer the time and the willingness to listen.
