Dad Shares Daughter's Priceless Reaction To Reeling Catch During First Fishing Trip

There's a magical feeling about seeing a father and his child bond with each other. But it's even more fascinating to experience for kids to experience it firsthand. While some parents find joy in seeing their kids enjoy their company, kids are able to create core memories they will treasure for the rest of their lives. One kid, for example, recently went viral after a heartwarming video of her fishing with her dad caught the attention of many. To some, it may just be an ordinary video. When Matt Brewster from Tennessee shared a video of him and his daughter Ali fishing in Florida in March 2023, people thought it was just a simple clip showing how his ordinary fishing day went with his daughter. But little did people know that what they were about to see was a touching video that showed the kind of bond he shares with his daughter – and how precious that moment was for his little one.
 
While Matt has been bass fishing for several years already, it was the first time he brought his 9-year-old daughter, who had been begging him to let her join him. Although he didn't bring her with him right away, Matt made sure to prepare his daughter as they had been practicing casting before the big day.

Since he knew she was ready for it, he decided to take her with him that day. True enough, Ali proved to be a professional as she caught a bass that weighed nearly five and a half pounds.

In the video, Ali can be heard endlessly screaming while bursting into tears. Of course, it made Matt one proud dad as he took a photo of Ali while holding the fresh catch that she reeled that day.

"Yes! It's so big!" Ali said in the video.

"I'm going to start crying … I don't even care if it weighed like five pounds, that felt so good!"

But Ali did not only catch one, two, or three but a dozen more bass that day.

"Daddy, I think we have grown so much on this trip," Ali said.

When asked about the best part of the trip, Ali told WLVT:

"That I get to spend time with my dad."

Matt, on the other hand, said spending time with his daughter is also one of the best things about it was he got to spend "valuable time" with her.

Meanwhile, the video instantly went viral and garnered millions of views on TikTok.

One person said it was "the greatest videos I've seen in a long time."

Others, on the other hand, said that the father-and-daughter tandem achieved several things that day beyond fishing.
