Love knows no bounds. This has been proven time and time again by Kris Scharoun-DeForge, 58, and Paul Scharoun-DeForge, 54.
The New York couple were both born with Down's Syndrome. This condition affects many functions of everyday life. However, the condition did not stop Kris and Paul from falling in love and eventually getting married.
The couple recently celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss. According to Reader's Digest. Kris and Paul have the honor of being the longest married couple with the syndrome.

It is adorable to hear Kris speak of her husband. She said that he opened up her world from the minute she first laid eyes on him.
One of the favorite days of the year for the couple is Valentine's Day. What better day to express their love for one another than on this international holiday of love?
Kris especially loves the day because she can use the skills she gained through one of her favorite hobbies to create a one-of-a-kind handmade card for Paul each year.
Last year's Valentine's Day was the first time that the couple had not been together on this special day since they were married. Sadly, Paul suffers from dementia, an illness that is not uncommon for people with Down's Syndrome.
Kris was heartbroken to learn that Paul had to be moved into a community where he would receive intensive care from trained professionals.
Fortunately for the couple, their families are committed to keeping them together as much as possible. Their family recognizes that this unconditional love should be honored.
You will totally be rooting for their love story once you see the affection that they have for each other. After you have watched this beautiful story, be sure to spread the joy to everyone else that you know.
