College Clog Dancers Set Stage On Fire With Performance

Feb 24, 2020

When fourteen-person dance team “Tap This!” hit the stage with a dance set to Bruno Mars's’ “Uptown Funk” the results were stunning.

Hailing from  Lincoln, Nebraska, these college students bring the house down at the 2015 Clogging Champions of America, Showdown of Champions.

It seems like this team has a kind of infectious energy and excitement that comes with them even before they start their dance. Before making a move, the team members are looking at each other and grinning, obviously excited about what they’re about to do.

The dance starts out slow and just builds with each move that they make, their routine turning more exciting with every second. The excitement seems to be building and building until the audience can’t handle it anymore! People are heard to be screaming and cheering right in the midst of the performance.

The team doesn’t let the shouts distract them; instead, they seem to let the energy feed their performance.

Throwing their arms up into the air as they stomp in tune with the beat, we have to admit that we’ve never felt more into the song “Uptown Funk”. It would seem that the audience felt the same way as they continue to get more excited with every move.

While these dancers may be young, they are extremely talented and obviously devoted to their art. It’s so much fun to see people that are obviously enjoying their job so much.

Watch the video for yourself. What do you think of this dance routine? If it doesn’t get you stomping your foot in rhythm along with them, we don’t know what else might!
