Céline Dion's Favorite Food Is Peanut Butter

There's little doubt that if a celebrity were to spend enough time around the press, they would eventually have to answer every question a reporter could possibly come up with during an interview. It's mostly harmless questioning, but it still takes place because somewhere out there fans want to know.

In a recent interview with Gayle King of CBS News, the legendary pop singer Celine Dion was put to the test for the umpteenth time. Her responses were natural and sincere as she poured out her heart when asked a series of telling questions.

Of course, that's a bit of an over-dramatization, but the questions asked would certainly have been of interest to many of her fans. By the way, the Canadian-born Ms. Dion is a multi-Grammy award winner whose top hits include "The Power of Love", Because You Loved Me", "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the immortal smash hit "My Heart Will Go On", which served as the theme song from the smash-hit movie "Titanic".

During the interview, King asked a series of personal questions that included “What’s your favorite song on your playlist that’s not yours?… Your favorite movie? … What’s your favorite meal?” The answer to the last question was both interesting and surprising. 

The answer was peanut butter. Literally, her reply was, “I love peanut butter so bad,” which led her to break out into a rendition of “Peanut Butter Jelly Time.” In case anyone is out there wondering, the answer regarding her favorite meal was, “But meal would be like, probably baba ghanoush, hummus, Lebanese food.”

The most important take away from her surprising answer is Ms. Dion is much like the rest of us if one discounts that beautiful voice. Aside from chocolate, it's hard to imagine there's another food product on planet earth that has registered as many thumbs up as peanut butter. What she didn't mention is how she like to eat her peanut butter, on a sandwich or right out of the jar with a spoon. Fans will have to use their imaginations.

It's always heartwarming to find out our favorite stars are not much different than the rest of us. It confirms the "down to earth" quality Ms. Dion has always portrayed.
