Celine Dion Astonishes Fans With Clip Of Her Natural, Curly Hair

Celine Dion is not only known for being an incredible singer and performer, her incredible taste in fashion has also helped her become a style icon in her own right. But while Celine is no stranger to taking risks in the fashion department, her beauty looks have been mostly consistent over the years—if you know what works for you then it's worth sticking to!

But now, Celine has gone back to her natural, curly hair, and after years of wearing it straight and sleek, it's sending fans through a spin—and she looks absolutely stunning!

Initially posted to her own Instagram account on October 1, Celine released a short behind-the-scenes video of a studio session while she recorded her song The Chase, off her album from late 2019, titled Courage. The video shows Celine looking gorgeous as ever while in the studio, clearly having a great time. She's dressed very stylishly as she dons a black off-the-shoulder sweater over a white T-shirt, denim cut-offs, black tights, and cream high-heeled booties. But what's most surprising is that her hair isn't worn in her usual long and straight style or a sleek ponytail. Instead, she's got a head full of bouncy curls! 

The head full of delicate soft spiral curls suits her surprisingly well, and even manages to somehow make her look younger?! But that could be down to her youthful outfit, which has a soft '80s vibe, or her vibrant energy, which even at 52 years of age, she's shown she has plenty of.

But longtime fans of Celine will recognize that this is the singer's natural hairstyle! When she first got her start she wore her hair in her natural brown curls, before adopting her signature straight and dark blond aesthetic. She even posted a series of throwback pictures to her Instagram back in April that showed her natural hair in all its glory. One picture even features her wearing blue denim cutoffs and a black top—what a full circle moment to her look now!

Dancing around in the recent behind-the-scenes video, Celine's vibrancy is on show. She's doing moves that are elegant yet playful, reminiscent of ballet or contemporary dance. At one point she looks into the camera with a big smile on her face, and then winks and gives a thumbs-up as if she already knew how big a hit her album would be. 

Despite being a revered artist, Celine's appearance has often come under scrutiny, including her thin weight. But Celine herself has rebutted claims of eating disorders for much of her career. In 2019, speaking with People magazine, she talked about her taking dance classes as exercise and said:

“I do this four times a week. People say, ‘She’s a lot thinner’ but I’m working hard. I like to move and [weight loss] comes with it.”

In the end, as long as Celine is healthy and happy that's all that matters. And judging from this video and her gorgeous new look, she's on top of the world!
