The Carr fire is one of 17 burning across California. Firefighters have been struggling to put them all out. Guy Fieri was touched by the tragedy and drove all the way from Napa Valley to Redding to volunteer.
He commented that volunteering symbolizes the love that Americans express for one another. It's difficult moments like these that bring us together. Fieri took to Twitter to showcase the incredible efforts of everyone on the team. He threw himself into the process and masterfully worked the grill alongside other chefs.
A number of restaurant groups are also involved in the cause. Fieri teamed up with members of World Kitchen and Operation BBQ Relief to donate food to Redding evacuees. Evacuees in Lake County are being treated by Team Knuckle Sandwich.
It's inspiring to see a celebrity getting involved this way. It gives us all a little more hope during trying times.
