Balancing one’s work with one’s personal life is not always easy, especially when the two clash. Hollywood has mastered the art of romantic movies and comedies, often showing us acting so good that one could almost believe the characters are romantically involved in real life when they aren’t. Candace Cameron Bure, beloved for her roles on "Full House" and its Netflix reboot "Fuller House," has made headlines for her unique approach to maintaining boundaries in her marriage and her devotion to her faith. The actress, 48, has been married to retired hockey player Valeri Bure for 28 years, and the two share three children.

Candace, a devout Christian and outspoken advocate for family values, has long balanced her career with her personal convictions. She became the chief creative officer for the Great American Family network, a conservative entertainment network, in 2022. She and her longtime friend Danica McKellar recently sat down for the first-ever for the Great American Family Christmas Festival, and they discussed how their personal and professional lives intertwine.

Candace, known as the “Queen of Christmas Movies,” has shared more than her fair share of on-screen under-the-mistletoe kisses with her co-stars. Candace and McKellar discussed the complexities of working in the entertainment industry as religious people. Candace revealed that while her husband is proud of her achievements and eager to watch her on-screen, the romantic scenes of her and her co-stars get uncomfortable.

In the discussion, Candace explained that while she is comfortable performing romantic scenes as part of her job, she chooses to skip over them when watching with her husband. The actress elaborated on her husband’s reaction to her romantic scenes and how this has affected their marriage, revealing that she deals with the issue by fast-forwarding the kissing scenes so that he doesn’t have to endure watching them.

“I don’t think it’s as comfortable for anybody – maybe if you’re an actor married to another actor – it’s just never comfortable to watch your spouse in the arms of someone, even though it’s a peck or a kiss or anything,” Candace told Fox News Digital.

Despite being uncomfortable watching her romantic scenes, he is still as supportive as ever of his wife. The two are honest with one another about the romantic scenes and what he’d rather not watch her do on-screen. Candace said:

“We have those honest conversations. He’s like, ‘I don’t really want to watch that part’ and ‘I don’t want to put you through that,' But … we kind of worked through those feelings to a place where we both feel good and supported through it.”

McKellar, who is married to attorney Scott Sveslosky, also shared similar sentiments, revealing that her husband “doesn’t like” her romantic scenes and that she also fast-forwards or goes to commercials during them. “The Wonder Years” star also shared her solution when those scenes come up while she’s watching her films with her husband:

“When that part of the movie happens, I just kiss him.”

This sure is an interesting part of being a married Hollywood star!
