Caitlyn Jenner is an American television personality, Olympic gold medalist, and transgender rights advocate, though her role in advocacy has been met with both praise and controversy. Born William Bruce Jenner on Oct. 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York, she gained fame as an athlete after winning the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where she set a world record. Since then, many people have hailed her as an American sports hero and an athletic icon. 

Caitlyn became a popular figure in the media. She appeared on television in some commercials and gained prominence eventually when her complex and blended family became the focal point of the hit show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” It features her ex-wife Kris Jenner, and her children from her marriage to the late Robert Kardashian – Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian. Caitlyn and Kris’ children – supermodels Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, also starred in the hit reality television show. 

In 2015, Caitlyn shocked the world when she publicly came out as a transgender woman in an interview with Diane Sawyer. Caitlyn sparked conversations about transgender visibility in the United States and even their eligibility in sports. 

However, scrutiny and backlash have followed Caitlyn, as many have voiced their confusion and disapproval of her transition. On Instagram, whenever she posts photos of her flaunting her show-stopping physique, she is constantly being hounded by criticisms and insults from the public. On Instagram, Caitlyn has posted photos of herself flaunting her beautiful body. However, people storm to the comment section and call her names, some derogatory and insulting. 

In one photo, Caitlyn posted a photo of herself in a bikini while enjoying a dip in the pool under the sun. 

“You are a man and you will always be,” one user told Caitlyn. 

“Youre a man. Why the hell are you wearing a bra you sick freak,” another commented. 

“She look like a shriveled up raisin for sum reason no offense she looks dried out,” another said. 

However, some of Caitlyn’s fans defend her honor. 

“listen all i’m saying is just show a little respect and use her preferred pronouns, u may not agree with it but just show respect honestly,” one wrote. 

Some users online also questioned Caitlyn’s reasons for continuing to relive her Olympic moments from the past. 

“I have carried the torch a lot throughout the years! It’s an extremely special task and always an honor!” Caitlyn wrote on Instagram along with a carousel of photos of her back in 1984 during the Olympics in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. 

Meanwhile, people berated the sports icon in the comment section, with some questioning Caitlyn’s motives in sharing her milestone again. 

““Bruce Jenner” carried the torch. “Caitlyn Jenner” wasn’t around back then. You can’t keep going back-and-forth, Sir you have to choose a side : male or female?” a user said. 

“You = two face.. you can’t tell people to not call you Bruce- but then acknowledge his achievements. 🙄,” another wrote. 

“So you referred to yourself as being two different people😂” a third person pointed out. 

Despite all this adversity, Caitlyn continues to enjoy her life to the fullest, though, as her photos show.
