Bride Halts Wedding Ceremony After She Breaks Down From Hearing A Voice In The Back

We all have a certain image of our wedding day in mind. Many people envision a room filled with their closest family members and friends as they make their way down the aisle.
Whatever plans you may have for your wedding day, it's likely that you want everything to be perfect on the big day, as is the case with most couples. However, rarely do things go exactly to plan. In the case of Patricia and Neil Swan’s wedding, both the couple and the guests found out how incredible surprises can be.
While the couple had their own perfect plan for their big day, they didn't know that their guests had an elaborate plan for their wedding as well! Patricia and Neil's wedding in February 2017 in Kincasslagh, Ireland, was going on as they thought it would. They said their vows to each other and were just about to make the commitment of a lifetime when there was a sound toward the back of the church.
Slowly, a voice began to sing. The couple was awestruck and speechless as the rest of the flash mob began to join in. While many people envision flash mobs to involve a lot of jumping, dancing, and loud singing, this wedding flash mob was just the opposite. The singers filled the church with their glorious voices, singing "How Great Thou Art.”
The heartfelt singing came from none other than Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell — who just so happened to have a heartwarming relationship with the bride. Several other local celebrities joined in for the celebration and made sure to make the bride and groom’s big day one they would never forget.

It turned out that O’Donnell was Patricia’s uncle! Patricia also worked as the singer’s assistant. The happy performer posted about the joyous occasion of watching his niece get married in a Facebook post in February 2017. “Celebrating my niece Trish's wedding yesterday to Neil Swan,” he wrote and accompanied the caption with beautiful photos of the newlyweds.
According to a YouTube video of the flash mob, other celebrities who partook in the celebration included Derek Ryan, Tony Kenny, Shawn Cuddy and Tony Allen. Simon Barr Wedding Films had originally captured the beautiful video.
The performance was so moving and breathtaking that Patricia was immediately reduced to tears! This surprise was so powerful that it took the entire church by surprise in the best way. Patricia wasn’t the only one moved to tears; several people took to the video’s comment section to talk about how moving they found the clip.
“Every time I watch this I cry like a baby. Absolutely beautiful and what a memory,” one person said. Another wrote, “Woah, I'm almost in a waterfall of tears.”
The good news kept coming for the O’Donnell and Swan family! In 2021, the Irish Independent reported that Patricia had given birth to twin girls in September 2021. O’Donnell had written:
"Many of you will know my niece Trish who is also my PA from when she travelled with me on the road. I’m delighted to announce that Trish and her husband Neil have just become the proud parents of twin girls Ava and Kayleigh born on September 8th. To say we are all over the moon is an understatement.”
O’Donnell posted a cute photo of himself and the twins on Facebook that same month.
